-I just threw some fluff scenes together...seeded with some drama--three weeks later-
LUKE'S POV
"How is she doing?" Reggie asks as I close the door behind me.
"She needs help. Professional help. I've done everything I can and nothing. Flynn is just-" I whisper, running a hand over my face.
Reggie lets out a huff, a stressed-out hand going to his hair. "What? I should ship her off away from her daughter?"
"And when was the last time she held Alora?" I cross my arms, voice still to a whisper.
He takes a second to think "Last week, and that was only for a second. Luke, she can't be-"
"But she is. I'm not a therapist, but I've been acting like one. She won't talk to anyone else. Dude, it's time to open your eyes to the shitty reality of this" I shake my head.
"We can't diagnose her" He whispers.
"Then get her diagnosed! Get her the help she needs. Reggie, Flynn is depressed and we all know it. She hardly touches her daughter, hasn't fed her directly, hasn't slept. This isn't just her being sad or emotional" I clench my fists.
"This is too much dude" Reggie breathes out, flinching his head as Alora starts to cry.
"Go, I should get home anyways" I pat his shoulder.
"PAPA" Dawson screams as he runs onto my leg, attaching onto there.
"Hey, Dad" Dani suddenly appears on my shoulders, making me smile.
And like tha our third little monster, our dog, comes running over to me and jumping on my other leg. "Hello boy," I say in a breathy tone.
"Guys, off. Shoo," Julie scolds, waving the kids away off my person.
"How is she?" She asks, wrapping her arms around my chest.
"Terrible. We need to convince them to get her the help she needs" I groan, resting my head down onto her shoulder as I hug her back.
"How's Alora?" She mutters, looking up at me.
"A baby. She's alright, existing. I don't know. Ask Reggie" I shrug, rubbing her shoulders.
"Got it" Julie chuckles, breaking free of my hug and skipping off to the kitchen.
"PAPA" I hear Dani shout from her room. With a small groan, I crack my back and head upstairs. The
"What's up, Plum?" I smile, taking a seat on her bed. Dani waddles over to me and takes a seat on my lap.
"Is Auntie ok?"
I stop to think. Of course, the kids have picked up on her new activity. Her new behaviours. I take a deep breath as I break her hair up into a couple of sections to braid.
"I don't know plum. I really don't know. She's just a little... sad"
"Can I make her happy?"
"You know sometimes we can't make everyone happy. We can't snap our fingers. It takes work and effort. But we can do everything we can to make her as happy as possible" I pout, shifting her to face me as I tie her hair at the end with a hair tie on my wrist
"Oh. Ok then" Dani smiles, kissing my cheek as she gets up off my lap.
