Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting loads as per usual. I had the covid vaccine a few weeks ago and have been on the floor ever since! I've been in hospital and everything! Go get vaccinated though! I just have an underlying health condition that can cause complications! Thanks for reading x
Sirius and Celeste did not separate from one another. Sirius hugged her from behind as a fire roared, flashing dancing shapes on the wall of his family tree. Lupin sat on the sofa watching the two, smiling that Celeste was home again. He was like an uncle to her.
She was wrapped in a blanket, and had on one of Sirius' jumpers, he glid his fingers up and down her arm, trying to keep her warm. He inhaled her scent, a sweet smell of roses and strawberries. "I'm so glad your safe" he whispered in her ear.
"I was always safe" she muttered back. The two men locked eyes, a hidden message connecting between them, as if they could read each other's mind. "What is it?"
"We have been speaking with Harry more and more since the last Order meeting, the one where we lost you", Sirius stroked her hair behind her ear. Celeste suddenly wanted to pull away, sensing a hostility from the two men. Sirius secured her in place though.
"His dreams have gotten worse. And he tells us you and the Malfoys have been particularly close" Remus stated, she rolled her eyes. If only they knew.
"Draco and I have always been close" she muttered. Her eyes caught a glimpse of Bellatrix Lestrange on the wall, her dark eyes scorning a hole in Celestes soul.
"I am aware" Sirius pulled her around to face him. "Despite my warnings".
"You think I'm a pureblood supremacist then now?"
"No" Sirius let out a weak smile. "But he tells us the older Malfoy has become fond of you". Celeste shuddered, knowing who Sirius was talking about
"I assure you, Lucius is not fond of me".
"That's not what Harry says, he says at the World Cup, Lucius seemed intent on keeping you close, intent of keeping you from harm. Harming anything that upset you, or would hurt you".
"What are you implying?" Sirius and Lupin shared a look.
"What if he knew of the attack Celeste? It is not out of the question. Harry says he was acting particularly unpleasant, and even stated you must return home after it ended". Sirius began. Celeste stiffened, Lucius had once told her he never worked for Voldemort, that he was acting under imperio. Surely, if nothing else, that were true. He couldn't be that cruel. Could he? "We believe Harry has some truth in his statement, not that I believe his other dreams. However, he did mention a particular dream".
"Which is?" Celeste grew impatient.
"He saw you, and Lucius", Sirius swallowed a lump in his throat. He wanted the older Malfoy to get nowhere near his precious girl. Celeste scoffed, but she knew there was some truth in the statement, which made her slightly nervous as to what was to come next.
"Has be taken any interest in you personally Celeste?" Lupin asked. "Asked you anything about your family, brought up, Voldemort at any point".
"No", she lied
"Celeste", Lupin warned
"He hasn't", she snatched herself away from Sirius. "He is quite a strange man", she sighed. "One that is hard to read".
