Smut warning
For the two days before Christmas break after her incident with Ron in the Great Hall, Celeste kept to herself.
Draco left notes on her bed, five to be exact, which she hadn't opened. She left them there to dust and rot not necessarily bubbling with anger, but irritated over his obvious lies to her.
She spent her time in the library, sometimes awkwardly crossing paths with Hermione who was stocking up on winter reading. Hermione would watch her, gain the confidence to start toward her, before Celeste would disappear into a dark corner never to be found.
Celeste found there that Raymonds word about expression had been correct, there were no records of it anywhere. Wandless magic yes, but magic that could explode out of you just by emotion, or projecting emotions onto other people; no. Nothing about any of that.
Celeste had decided in those two days she would spend the holidays at Hogwarts, even writing to Sirius to inform him so. He had contested, saying she would be better spent with her family. However, Celeste had noted she would be home for Christmas, perhaps New Year, but that was it. She and Sirius was still as close as they once were, but Celeste knew members of the Order would be filtering in and out of the Black house over the holidays. And she didn't need that. She needed peace, a place where she could practice expression in the confines of her own space. Not fearing to wake or hurt anyone.
As Pansy packed her things for home, Celeste sat reading on her bed, a book she had picked up from the library. Its contents contained information about the unforgivable curses, and magical creatures such as werewolves. Celeste debated that if she knew about expression that night in the dark forest, she could have resisted the charm. Raymond's letters had explained that expression was perhaps the most powerful magic there was.
"Aren't you packing?" Pansy asked, collapsing on the space next to Celeste, laying her head on her chest.
"No, I'm staying here over Christmas".
"What?" Pansy asked confused. "I just spoke to Draco and he said you were going to Malfoy Manor". Celeste sat up in bed, looking over to Pansy.
"No, I'm staying here. I want to stay here".
"You should check with Draco, he said that his father already picked up your winter reading from Snape and your other Professors. Apparently, Professor Umbridge insisted on a guardian over winter due to bad behaviour". Celeste growled and shoved herself out of bed.
"Pricks, the lot of them". She muttered to herself walking out the room.
Celeste barged into the boys dorm, a few of them jumping back and covering their naked chests in shock. "Don't worry lads, no ones looking anyway" she stated, smirking to herself as she brushed past them and stood in front of Draco and Blaises bed.
"Hey Cel, where have you been? I have seen you in days" Blaise noted.
"Why the hell are you under the impression I'm spending winter break with you and your family?" Celeste said to Draco, ignoring Blaise. Draco frowned, clipping his fine matt leather suitcase shut with its snake seal.
"I presumed you were? Thought you wouldn't want to stay with the Weasels and Father said he had already spoken to you about it? When you were dancing with him at the Yule Ball?" Celeste scrunched her nose and froze a little. She had been avoiding both Lucius and Snape since that night. She had avoided even thinking about it.
"No I didn't" she stated plainly. "I wanted to stay here" she protested. "I am staying here!"
"I'm afraid not Miss Caddel," a sharp commanding voice said from the door. Celeste froze and shut her eyes, precisely the man she had been avoiding.
