Lucius had gone against himself again, laying Celeste to sleep on his bed where he resided sometimes when his buisness took him to Hogwarts. She looked so peaceful when she slept. So calm.
When he was sure she was consumed by dreams he hoped were as beautiful and as perfect as her, he bowed his head down to her. Their foreheads were connected together for a moment, before he placed a gentle kiss on her lips.
He wanted nothing more to go deeper, to wake her and tell her he had lied to her. That in fact their relationship, whatever it was, had consumed him from the moment they first met. That he in fact cared for her, so deeply it shook him to his core, so deep he questioned whether if he were to choose; between the cause he had aligned himself with for years, or her. He may choose her.
It scared him. Like her love for him scared her deeply as well. If Voldemort were to see in his mind, if he were to see the way he truly felt for the young witch. He would be killed.
That's what he had to remind himself over and over. Why he was being distant from her. He understood now that his feelings were shared by Celeste, that if he were in danger, she would follow him; she was so selfless she would perhaps give her life. She was a walking bleeding heart, and before he met her he thought that as a weak thing. But she was the strongest person he had met.
With Voldemort breathing down his neck about her retrieving the prophecy, and the encounter the other night with the dark forest; he knew he needed to stay away. What if Voldemort saw inside his mind, saw his feelings for her; he would surely speed up the process. Turn her into a beast if that's what it took.
He couldn't live with himself if it was because of him, she came to harm.
Lucius ran a finger up and down her face, sliding down her neck and onto her body. How he had missed it. "Beautiful" he whispered. Wanting to kiss her again, he bowed his head and placed another kiss upon her lips. They tasted like strawberries and mint.
Suddenly he felt a slight pressure on his lips, the feeling of her kiss pushing against him. He pulled away with a breath, and her eyes fluttered open. He had awaken her with his lack of control. "Why did you do that?" Celeste asked calmly. Lucius said nothing. "Why did you do everything? And then even after", Lucius' breath hitched as her hand stroked his own. "After you said you didn't want me anymore, you still lurk around me like you enjoy seeing me hurt, enjoy making me love you to then just take it all away".
"No" he whispered, his hand made its way onto her cheek. "That's not what I'm trying to do".
"Then why do you do it?"
Because I love you too. He thought. He looked away from her, he could not say that.
"Look at me Lucius" she pleaded, sitting up in bed. "Why won't you look at me?"
"Because-" he began to say, but when he looked back his words escaped him. Their breaths hugged each other they were so close. His hand unconscious from his brain as it cuaght her neck within its clutch.
Steadily, he closed the distance between them. Kissing her again, at first softly, like he had done before. A innocent, childlike kiss. Then his clasp got tighter. He parted her lips for his tongue as it ached to dance around her mouth once again. He let out a low groan as he tasted her.
Celeste reciprocated with ecstasy. Her tongue colliding with his, as if they were meant to be intertwined. He pulled away to lay kisses down her neck, biting and leaving marks, and his hand slipped up the loose shirt she wore. He took her breasts in his palms once again, and his morals and defences against the situation fell down.
He whipped the shirt off of her, laying her down as he nibbled at a nipple, his hand still choking her as her back arched; missing his hands upon her. Lucius found his way on top of her, his weight was something she had missed. His dominance.
