Lucius had returned to his Manor for a few days, avoiding Narcissa and her whining to spend most of his time in his study. He was expecting a meeting from someone.
At 12 o clock one night, he paced his library in angst, only feeling a certain flutter of calmness when he caught The Count of Monte Cristo in his eye. Her favourite book. He allowed himself to smile weakly. "Lucius", a voice hissed behind him. Before turning, he could hear a slither, and looked down to see a large snake coil around him and the room.
"My Lord", he smiled as he whipped around. "How good it is to see you?"
"Let's skip the small talk shall we my friend? How is our young witch?" Voldemort stated, Lucius opened his mind, knowing the dark lord was eager to get in.
"Well, My Lord".
"Yes I can see", Voldemort said grimly. "It seems you are gaining her trust" Voldemort said coldly. Lucius hoped he had, the girl was now a genuine concern of his, a person he eagerly looked to spot in the corridors of that ridiculous school, swaying her hips elegantly as she walked. "All coming in due time, we are ready for the next stage".
"The Potter boy?" Lucius smirked. He felt jealousy around the Potter boy and all of Celestes male friends; he wanted her for himself. Sometimes he smiled at the thought of locking her up, to have her completely at his mercy.
"The boys mind will be easy to penetrate, he is not as skilled as my Celeste", Voldemort said, allowing a drip of pride spew from his lips as he thought of his daughter. "Keep infiltrating her Lucius", he placed a hand on the Malfoys shoulder. Lucius shivered, even though he realised Voldemort did not see Celeste much as a daughter even though she was indeed just that, it was still uncomfortable having him know what Lucius had done to the girl. "We need her on our side".
"May I ask a question my lord?"
"You may".
"If the girls prophecy does in fact state what we believe, is it necessary for her transformation?" Voldemort let a grim smile spread on his face.
"Greyback is practically counting down the days, I can hardly deny the creature of her beautiful transformation".
"I understand but"-
"Having her to be turned into a wolf will make her more of an outsider to her friends than what I have planned in the following months, not to mention, the girl is also well respected and liked; unlike Greyback. Changing her into a werewolf may be the extra step we need getting the rest of the creatures into our grasp and on our side".
"Of course My Lord", Lucius gritted his teeth and bowed, closing off his mind to the dark lord. He did not want her to transition.
"Goodbye my dear friend".

Harry Potter, for the next few days, did not sleep well. He tossed and turned, gritting his teeth and wincing as his scar stung him in his sleep.
He dreamt of many things, Voldemort's face, the Ministry, Nagini, the torture of his friends. But most prevalent, was the person standing next to Voldemort, the person who watched as him and his friends suffered. Celeste. She stood there wickedly laughing, as her wand pointed at Hermione to make her curl in pain. When she approached Harry, his scar burnt in agony.
It was the same dream, over and over again, every night, for three days straight. On the first day he brushed it off, by the second he was cautious, shooting her looks during practice, by the third he was avoiding her all together. He had had many dreams before, and a lot came to be true.
