MISSY MORENO

As I walked along the edge, I couldn't help but realize how far I had come. I had no records of being great in PE. I had no records of ever making friends. No records of ever being a leader. I was Missy Moreno. The kid with no talent whatsoever. And now... I was on a tightrope thousands and thousands of feet in the air with wind and light underneath me, facing two monsters.

Back with the Heroics...

Marcus Moreno's smile disappeared from his face as his only child walked on the thin tightrope that was her friend's hand. And as he watched her wobble and struggle to the center, he didn't feel sad. He didn't feel worry. Instead, he felt proud. He felt like the best dad in the world. He felt like he did the time he saw Missy's mom doing the same thing. And even if it gave him bad juju nostalgia, he felt proud of his daughter.

"She's leading by example..." he said, feeling emotional.

Back with Missy...

I watched as the two monsters eyed me. I was now in the center. Time for the grand finale and the takeover ending. I motioned for them to get on the tightrope and as they weighed the rope down, I couldn't help but think... Poor Noodles... So when they were just enough and Noodles looked like he was gonna burst into Noodle goo, I brought my hand up to my neck and did the bravest thing ever.

I motioned for him to cut the line.

And Noodles complied. And I knew I was gonna die. So he let go of the rail and I felt myself falling through the wind. I saw the shocked faces of all my friends. Friends... the first friends I had ever had. They were right there, watching me fall to my death. And I saw Noodles reach for me... but he missed. So I saw my life flash. But the memory I'd miss the most was seeing Wildcard's face. Hating him. Befriending him. Loving him. And now... missing him already.

Then, I heard someone's voice as I closed my eyes, braced for impact.

"DO IT BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE DO YOU WANNA SAVE YOUR LOVE OR NOT?!"

Who's love? Then, I felt someone's arms wrap around me and I opened my eyes. Wildcard was there, flying me out.

"WILDCARD!" I exclaimed, happy to see him.

"That's right cutesicle--I mean... Missy."

"Nice to see you bab--Wildcard."

Back with the Heroics...

"Did that boy just call my daughter... cutesicle?" Marcus Moreno stared.

"Did that girl almost call my son... babe?" Tech-no frowned, staring at the screen.

All the Heroics groaned in frustration.

"You know, it's probably friendship," Tech-no shook his head.

"Yeah," Marcus Moreno agreed.

Anita Moreno rolled her eyes, but decided to say nothing of it. And Wildcard had rescued Missy, who was standing, alive, and ready to take down Ojo and her alien friends.

"How are we on time?"

"38 seconds! Noodles! Go!"

Suddenly, a tentacle blasted the panel out of Noodles' hands and it landed on a light.

"Uh oh..." Guppy sighed.

"NOODLES!"

Noodles reached for it.

"I-I can't reach!"

"I... can..." Slo-mo said before jumping off.

"SLO-MO!" I screamed, "REWIND! REWIND!"

"No, wait!" Rewind gave me a look, "I think he knows what he's doing."

I looked to see Slo-mo make it safely down there, grabbing the control panel and holding it up.

"YEAH!" we all cheered.

"NOW QUICK! WILDCARD!"

Wildcard teleported, grabbed Slo-mo, then flew up.

"WOOHOO!"

Noodles swapped the motherboards and then, we watched as the rumbling began. Were we too late?

"WHAT'S HAPPENING?!" I screamed.

"The takeover's happening," Ojo smiled.

Then, there was just golden light in front of us.
