it's just my thing now

THE SHIP/S IN THIS STORY WILL NOT BE ANNOUNCED UNTIL LATER! 

i had the idea of a story where you dont know which ship with 'win' (theyre all good but its sorta like a final-showdown which-one-will-make-it-to-the-end sorta deal if u get what im saying) so!! if you want to read just prinxiety/roceit/logince/whatever then go read something else, because this will have all three of those (plus some others!) and im not going to guarantee that a certain ship will stay until the end! just read until the end of the book (well. im still writing it so. just stay tuned lol)

and i might have written this story as a present for someone ;) they will be announced later but much love to that person <3

onto the good stuff! (tl;dr below in bold)

as usual: gimme your suggestions! if you want to see x character do y or say z, hit me up and ill try to make it happen! emphasis on try: i can't make everything happen. sadly i have am not a god ;-;

ill try to make the parts all somewhere between 500 words and 2500 words. be warned i write quick so i can usually get out multiple (3-4) chapters in a day, but sometimes i wont update for like a week, maybe two. basically the schedule is v sporadic.

just come back every 2-3 days and there'll be new parts, trust me.

just keep in mind that i usually get into a ~vibe~ with a story and will probably update that two or three times before i get around to the others. 

im sorta in the middle of blades of time (not a tss fic but still my work nonetheless! read if you want but it is the fourth book in the series) and linked (wowie wow wow this story right here!) but if you comment/vote a lot or just generally show me that you like the story, ill come update it just for you <3

[potential tw and soulmate system below!]

knowing me and knowing where i want this to go, this book will likely contain the following! 

-gore/injuries (ranging from 'lil babey papercut' to 'good god they got stabbed three times and the author won't shut up')
-fighting (ranging from 'virgil flicked roman because he's a dumbass' to 'very very vivid')
-gay panic
-no smut! 

soulmate system works as follows.

-none of that 'uwu u find ur soulmate and ur eyes/soulmark glows!!1!!!1!1' bullshit (okay that's harsh but thats not my style. fun to read but not to write u know what i mean?)

-there arent predetermined soulmates. well there are but theyre super rare and anyway none of the characters have predetermined soulmates bcs i said so

-instead there's thresholds!!! basically if u love (including platonically damn it) someone enough for long enough and COME TO TERMS WITH IT thats when u get a soulmark on the back of ur hand

-^^^ in addition to above point you have to have loved them for 3 months (and vice versa). however you can realize u love them at any point. u realize ur head over heels for someone and they're the same right away?? badabing badaboom u have soul marks now. u have been in denial for a year but just now came to terms with it?? soul mark, babeyyyyy. etc etc etc. the two requirements are -both/all have loved each other for at least 3 months, and -both/all have acknowledged their feelings. thats it.

-you have to love every part of the person u know exists, even if u dont know its them. so let's say (entirely hypothetically) x person is in love with y superhero, who is the same person as z friend. the soul mark wont show up until person x is in love with both superhero y and friend z, or until person x knows that y and z are the same person. complicated? yes. very. does it matter? yes. this is a superhero au what did u think was going to happen

-also when i say 'love someone enough' that changes around a bit depending on the person/people but basically if u really care about them as a friend/romantic partner then BOOM potential soulmate. (ig sexual too but like i said above there's no smut in this so it doesnt apply for this book)

-soulmarks can and do fade! basically if someone's trust is broken (like HARDCORE) then it will fade either slightly or completely depending on how much they were hurt. also if the pair/group falls out of love (soulmarks make it harder to happen but hey the heart wants what it wants bb)

-enough about the soulmarks jfc

-anyway soulmates can see what the other one/s see whenever they zone out but are still conscious. however they never see themselves in their soulmate's vision

-if they have multiple then whichever is closest physically, if two or more are the exact same distance away then whichever's closest emotionally, if two are the same distance emotionally and physically then the two perspectives blend

-and thats it!
