Roman pulled on his jacket. "I'm going to work, honey," he said, swooping down to kiss Logan's cheek.

"Have fun, dear." Logan didn't lift his eyes from his book, but reached up to run his hands through his boyfriend's hair gently.

Roman picked up his bag from the door and left, Virgil already waiting for him in the hall. "You ready?" he asked, that knowing smirk on his face already.

"Shall we?"

"We shall."

Roman offered his arm and the two walked down the stairs, waving to Mrs. Patty as she watered her garden. "You have a good day now, boys," she said with a warm smile.

They went to the coffee shop, Janus waving to them as they slid into a booth, Patton opposite them.

"Roman! How's Logan doing?" he asked cheerfully.

"He's doing well, just finished up grading midterms," he answered.

"And Virgil? How are Remy and Emile?"

"You tell me," he snickered. "It's so weird, our little brothers dating."

"Yeah, well, just gives us more reasons to be friends!" he said happily.

Janus swung by with four coffees, passing them out. "One for the emo bitch," he said, "one for the best boyfriend ever, and another for you, Roman."

Roman thanked him as he sat down next to Patton. "So," Janus said. "Any tea?"

"This is a coffee shop, dumbass," he muttered.

"I guess he just wants you guys to spill the beans,"  Patton said.

"Yeah- hey!" Janus scoffed, catching the pun. "How dare you."

"What?"

"My place of work, my turn to make bad jokes," he grumbled. "How are the kids?"

"I think they really love it, Roman said.

"Who knew that ball of angst liked choreographing?" Janus laughed.

"It's only because Roman  asked me to," Virgil frowned, crossing his arms and looking out the window. "Otherwise I wouldn't have."

"I think it's awesome that you two are helping out with the musical at the community theater," Patton added. "If you need anyone for running tech or lights, let us know, yeah?"

"Logan already volunteered," Virgil snorted.

"If we need others, thought, you two will be first on the list," Roman said.

The two kept talking for a few minutes until Virgil finally grabbed his arm. "We should get going," he said. "See you guys later!"

"Bye!"

"Later, dudes."

Roman and Virgil walked out of the coffee shop, both of them smiling wildly. Inside, Patton and Janus did as well.

And back home, as Logan got ready to go teach another class at a university, he couldn't help but think of his incredible boyfriend, friends, and family, and a small grin crossed his face as he shut the door, locking it quietly, and walking away.
