Some things never change

Settling with our seats, we decided to pick what are we going to eat. I didn't expect that this simple lunch would turn into a fancier one. And what worries me is that she invited us then she is the one who's going to pay?

After we decided on our orders, we called the waiter immediately. Once our orders were being collected, we are currently in an awkward situation where the three of us were quiet. And I really hate it.

"L-Look I know you guys might find it fancy but since you guys were going to work with my father's case, I guess it's good to get to know each other." Hange said as she was trying to adjust herself on the chair.

"What do you mean get to know each other? Like I've known- I think it has something to do with being comfortable with each other?" And this is Erwin once again. I think I heard something weird, but since he had an emergency with his Mrs. Smith, then I guess that's the reason why.

"Yes! Oh I'm sorry, but yes indeed." Hange replied as she tried to shush herself up.

Still being loud but cute.

Huh?

A few moments later, our orders came and we started to eat. Suddenly out of nowhere, Hange decided to speak.

"Oh no, I realized we forgot to order drinks. What would you guys like?"

Just serving water would be nice-

"Hange, you want to get to know us right? So I'll start with here. I'll go with a simple coffee while Levi would have a black tea. Black tea is his favorite by the way."

Smooth, Erwin. Very smooth.

"Oh I like coffee but I also like black tea. Weird it may sound but I started to like it out of nowhere, and I like it with heaps of sugar!"

Now I'm interested with this.

"What do you mean, I started to like it out of nowhere? And what's with the heaps of sugar?"

"Eh? Is there something wrong with heaps of sugar in black tea? I don't know but there is a sudden urge when I was around college when I started to like black tea. Probably a memory when I was a kid or something but I don't have any family members who drink black tea though." She replied as she started to look in the ceiling.

"It's just I feel as if I needed black tea as a part of my routine. From the time I had one, I started to like it along with coffee. I can't explain it further but I hope I answered your question." She added as she glanced back at me. "How about you, since when did you start liking black tea? Or why did you like it?"

It taste fancy that it is very hard to have it in the underground. Good thing there are a few supplies in the-

Not now please. Where are these words coming from?

"Um are you okay or are you having a headache again?"

"Levi, are you okay? You've spaced out."

"Levi-"

The sound of snapping of fingers made me go back to my senses. I looked at the both of them. Hange seems to be worried while Erwin gave me a look that seems to know something. I shrugged it of and tried to recall what is going on.

"I'm sorry, but are you asking something? I didn't expect to spaced out of a sudden, but let's continue."

"It's fine with me Levi. As I've asked, when did you start liking black tea and what made you like it?" Hange said as she looked at me directly.

Now I feel like I'm having a hot seat.

"Ever since I was in high school. During that age, we tend to like coffee or alcoholic beverages, right? But in my case, I started to like tea instead in which I even ended up buying different types and brands of it after school." I replied as I recalled my high school days of me going to the convenience store to buy tea.

"And you know what Hange, Levi over here ended up using his allowance one time for that limited edition tea. I forgot the brand but he ended up using his allowance since his mom didn't buy him one-"

"Oi, Erwin. You know almost everything, I guess it's about time to kill you-"

"I just said a real story from our high school, there's nothing wrong with that. Unless if I mentioned what is your ideal type with-"

"Erwin just stop it, people might know my entire life." I replied as I shrugged.

Suddenly we heard someone laughing. And that belongs to the person across me.

"Both of you were really friends. How I wish I have friends like you." Hange said as she picked up the fork for her meal.

"With your bubbly personality, I think you have tons of friends over." I replied as I started to eat again.

"That's my personality but with my entire childhood up until college, I don't have any friends."

I stopped eating when I heard that sentence. A bubbly personality with no friends? Are you kidding me?

"Since you shared a high school experience, then I guess it's my time to share a bit regarding myself." She replied as she took a deep breath.
