Is this normal after all?

Screw whatever I mentioned last night. This headache continues to torment me nonstop, and good thing I decided to stay at home for now to rest. Groggily reaching out my phone in my bedside table, I was greeted by different missed calls and text messages from Mom, my colleagues, and Erwin. Most of them were concerned about my situation (since this is the first time I took my leave for a day in work) but some reminded me to postpone my review of the files that I have in hand. But what intrigued yet shocked me was Erwin's message.

"Hey, I don't know if you're up but I'm still sending you a message for you to be ready. Apparently, Hange went to the law firm today and told one of our colleagues that she needs to talk to the both of us. At first, I thought it is about her father's case again, but instead she invited the two of us (me and you) to join her in a simple lunch. By the way, is your headache okay? I can just simply tell her that you can't go if you're still having a headache."

Like I said last night, this headache may wear off soon. I don't know what's going on but deep within me thinks that I should join them despite my current situation.

C'mon Levi, this is the chance that you've never had before. Go meet her.

Okay, I think this headache is making me delusional. Wait, probably because I haven't eaten breakfast so I'm starting to have weird thoughts again.

Looking at my phone, I quickly replied back to Erwin's message.

"I think I can manage. Where are we going to meet her?"

Good thing is that the place that Hange offered is somehow near the block of my apartment building. Closing my car door, I leaned my back towards my car as I wait for a reply from Erwin regarding their whereabouts. It seems that I am early, so I decided to play random games on my phone. After a few minutes, I felt something on my side, as if it leaned towards my car or moved towards its side. I was about to speak (since I really don't want something to happen with my car) while my vision is still on my phone, when suddenly-

"They say that each one of us has experienced to live in different lives whether it has a bittersweet journey or a happy ending. Each lives can be connected or related to your current life, but with Science, how can we be sure that it exists? What do you think, Levi?"

Looking back at the person beside me, I realized it's the person who invited us for lunch.

"Why are you leaning in my car as well? And to answer your question, I have no idea at all." I replied as I studied her features. With a small space between us, I realized that she is indeed taller than me, but not that much. Probably just an inch or so.

But why on earth did she called me shorty during that time then? To brag the inch difference?

"Wait, it seems that you're taller up close, I mean you look short when I first saw you. Oh no, I get it, I am wearing heels during that time, that's why." She said as she tried to hide her giggles.

I really do miss your smile, Four-Eyes.

Ah, here we go again. But wait a minute, did my headache started to wear off?

She seemed to notice my expression, as she placed her hand in my forehead.

"You don't have any fever. By the way Erwin told me you had a headache, so I'm sorry if I simply placed my hand."

"No, it's fine. At least the headache is gone. It's nothing, I swear. I just had certain thoughts in min-"

"Ooh, what thoughts? C'mon tell me, that might be the reason why you had a headache. Because you know, stress could lead you to sickness."

"No, it's nothing I swear." I replied as I looked at the restaurant in front of us.

And it's weird if I would share to others that I have weird thoughts that seems to say something to me.
