Not again.

"You had toads as a pet? I knew- I mean I didn't expect how you manage that?"

"It's simple as long as you have a good terrarium for it, and feed it as well. My mother gave to it as a gift when I was 10 years old."

"That's cool! As expected from the 14th Com-Famous Researcher Hange Zoe!"

Erwin. Sus. Very suspicious.

As I've mentioned earlier, my best friend might be acting differently due to the emergency as he mentioned. But the more I get to observe, it seems that he's hiding something after all. But in the end, it's his decision to share it or not.

"Rivailleeeee!"

I miss that. I really do miss you, Four-Eyes.

"Hey Levi, can I call you like that? I don't know but since you were now considered as my friends, I decided to create nicknames with you guys."

"Whatever it is, as long as it is applicable then." I replied as I shrugged.

"Speaking of nicknames, I'm very sorry if I referred to you as Shorty in our first meeting, I don't know why but I just realized that you're taller than me. Around 2 to 3 inches I guess?"

Now this is somehow familiar yet I don't know why. Erwin tried to suppress his laughter but you can see that he is enjoying the scene.

"I don't know what's with that nickname either, I ended up being annoyed when I heard it." I replied as I glanced back at Erwin who is struggling to keep his giggles to himself.

"L-Look, I said sorry. I must have my eyes check or something since my glasses were foggy during that time as well."

I forgot she ran towards us during that time, so I guess it's okay. But why do I feel fine with the nickname after all?

"I get it Four-Eyes, you don't need to say sorry again and again. I'm not sure but I kind of liking it-"

"EH-"

"Shush down, Four-Eyes. But yes, I really find the nickname fine after all. Whether it is uh shorty or the one you called me awhile ago. Well technically it is from my name but you made it long instead."

"I'm sorry-"

"Oi, stop it-"

"Okay I'll stop, but you said so." She replied as she looked at me while trying to hide her smile. Like I've mentioned earlier, who wouldn't want her bubbly personality?

"Wait, did you just laughed at me Levi?"

Huh?

"Hange this is the first time I get to see Levi smiling and laughing once again. The last time was during the exhibit-"

"Shut it Erwin, and I'm not laughing." I replied as I looked at the side. Damn, she saw me in that state.

"Hmm you say so, Shorty." Hange replied while looking at me with a big grin on her face. This made me want to pinch her cheeks, but I realized that it would be awkward for a "get to know each other" situation.

---

Like I've mentioned earlier, we indeed ended up finishing our simple lunch around past 4 in the afternoon. Which obviously can be considered as early dinner.

It's time to pay for the bill when I realized that my best friend is looking at me as well. This scenario reminded me of the time when a girl invited us for a hangout after class. At first, it is a simple hangout but it turned out to be her confessing to me about her feelings. Since I really don't believe in such thing, I turned her down in a polite way. And in the end, me and Erwin ended up paying the entire bill since aside from turning down her confession, we insisted to pay for it since she's a girl. It may sound sexist, but blame our parents for teaching us that trait.

And now, the scenario is somehow similar but instead of having a confession of feelings, it is a simple lunch that almost looked like dinner due to the time itself.

"Okay, I'll pay for this-"

"Hange it seems that someone called you awhile ago over there." I don't know if that is effective but it seems that Erwin has begun to do it.

"Eh, really-"

"Just entertain that person, Four-Eyes. Go!" I said as I'm starting to panic. This feeling seems familiar, probably since me and Erwin experienced it before.

"Hey, Levi. Go put your money. I placed mine already. Both of us must pay for the bill before she comes back. Hurry!"

"Okay, okay. It's $100 right? Wait, crap I only have $50 in here. The rest were in the car-"

"Fine I added $50 already, just put yours here."

I immediately placed my cash as I called for the waiter. We decided to keep the receipt as well so she won't insist that she must be the one to pay. Good thing, Hange came back afterward.

"Erwin, I looked around and it seems that no one is calling for me. Wait, the bill was here awhile ago, right-"

"Hange, I've realized that our friend during college was working as a manager here. And he decided to give us free lunch, right Levi."

"Yes, I was really shocked that he was here." Now this is getting awkward.

Looking at her made me realize that I don't want to see her frowning at all. Like she seems to have a scary aura around her right now. Great, Levi Ackerman is afraid of a brunette lady who about to go mad for not paying the bill.

Hange looked at both of us, glancing to me then to Erwin. She raised her arms in the air when suddenly-

"It's good then. Or else, I don't have any money left to pay a cab home." I didn't realized that she placed her hands now in the table, since I ended up trying not to frighten with what she did. I looked back at Erwin, and that bastard is laughing at me for my actions. Very nice.

After that scenario, the three of us headed home. Opening my apartment's door, I felt a throbbing pain once again in my head. Seriously, another headache?

I moved to the bathroom once again to take the medicine kit, but upon reaching out the door, I felt my head started to get worse than last night and early morning. I didn't drink any alcohol beverage but this pain is worse as heck.

I gulped down the painkillers as soon as possible, when I realized that I needed water. Walking at a wobbly state, I went towards the fridge to drink water. Another pain in the ass.
