Chapter 16: Just Another Date!

I'm kind of feeling awkward right now. We are just too quiet after we got off the bus then walked to the mall. What should I do to break this silence?!

"Uhmmm...Lyndon...I'm gonna head to the supermarket section...how about you?" I shyly said and pointed at the supermarket.

"Same here Jenn." He smiled.

Damn! why does he smile like that?! I'm gonna melt sooner.

"Then let's go together." I smiled back.

Why did I smiled in the first place?! Is this a curse for being single!? *sob*.

"Yeah sure." He looked at me and smiled again.

One more time and seriously I'm gonna k— Jennifer don't you ever finish that line! It really is a sign that I have to start looking for a boyfriend! I kept meeting these damn hot boys! Jennifer think straight!

We walked towards the supermarket then I grabbed a basket, Lyndon does the same thing.

"What are you going to buy? Do you have a list of things you needed?" Lyndon asked.

"I have it in my mind, I need to buy a lot of things since my bestfriend might be here in Serville tomorrow." I responded.

"Oh I see...If your basket gets heavy I'll help you carry it since I'm just buying a few things." He said.

"Uhmmm...thanks!" I smiled.

What a gentleman he is, unlike my boss *hmph*. Maybe I'll ask him if he already have a girlfriend...No! It's definitely too awkward to do and this is not the right time, he might become uncomfortable with that question too. What am I thinking! I got lost on my thoughts.

"Are you okay Jenn?" He tapped my back.

"Yeah...yeah I'm okay I'm just remembering what I needed to buy." I panicked on what to say.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"Yes! Of course!" I assuredly said.

I started pick up things and put it on my basket, he does the same too. Hmmm...I need some veggies, fish, and meat. He just picked few things and most of them are body necessities. Should I try tripping my self over and let him catch me so I could get a little closer to him hahaha. I'll do it outside of the supermarket section because I might broke something here, I'm just curious if he's going to catch me or not...okay!?

After a while my basket got a lot heavier since I stuffed a lot of things, I should have gotten the pushcart instead if I did know.

"Let me carry it for you." He said and took the basket from me.

"Thanks." I shyly said.

"No problem...is this all?" He said.

"Yeah thats all." I said.

"Then let's go to the cashier and pay." He smiled again!

Why! He kept smiling I swear one more time and it will be real this time *hmph*. We paid for our things and got out of the supermarket. He insisted to carry my bought things so I let him.

"Are you somehow in a hurry?" He asked.

"Well...not really since I'll just head home and do nothing...why?" I responded.

"Let's go for a lunch...My treat...please!" He made a cute face.

Damn it! I can't refuse him with that face. Well I'm free since I got off work very early. So why not? It's a date afterall...yes it's date!
