Chapter 26: It Started All Over Again

"Oh no! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" I panicked and said the same words a lot of time.

I didn't have the courage to even take a glimpse of the person I electrocuted because I am sure with that amount of electricity, that person is surely dead. I must know how to control my powers because this accidents happens every time. I'm stupid enough because of being careless to my surroundings, what am I even going to do with the dead body?! They will know that I'm an exord!

Then in a sudden someone grabbed me by the wrist.

"Whaah!" I screamed.

"I didn't do anything I promise!" I added.

"This is the second time that you somehow killed a person." He said while he continued dragging me to a nearby alley.

"Wait! What about the—" I stopped talking as I saw that the person I bumped into disappeared without a trace.

I can't seem to see his face since he has his hoodie on but I am certain that his voice seems familiar, so I just kept quiet as he drags me. This specific event is somehow familiar.

"What...do you...mean of second time? What happened...to the person I bumped into? You saw it right?!" There is a sense of jitters present in my voice as I said.

"I meant you had killed me a second time and the person you are referring to is well and alive as you can see." He took off his hoodie then looked at me.

"GABRIEL! You are alive!" I said in a shocked manner.

"Why would I die? But it does hurt somehow." He said in a confused way.

I hugged him tightly without hesitation and cried knowing that he is still alive even after what happened to us that day. I saw a lot of blood that he lost and I thought he died or maybe if not he would be in a state of coma.

"Are you crying? What's wrong?" He said as he slowly finger-comb my hair.

"I thought you died! It was all my fault! I should have...I shou—" He interrupted me before I said more.

"It was not your fault...all of us makes mistakes and accidents sometimes happens." He said as he comforted me.

"And by the way where were you going? Why in a rush? Dad said that you aren't coming to work since something happened." He added.

"I'm off to tell your dad about it." I'm still hugging him tightly and I'm still teary-eyed at the moment.

"Then let's go together. Dad was worried about you so he asked me to check up on you so he gave me your apartment address but luckily I didn't have to go along there since you bumped into me. It was a hassle but nevermind." He said.

"Speaking of which, you should really learn how to control your powers you would have killed someone if I was not the one you bumped into again!." He added.

I just nodded and stopped hugging him then wiped my face with my handkerchief.

"Will you tell me about it?" Gabriel asked.

"Just wait till we get there." I said.

We walked to a nearby bus stop and wait for a bus. In the meantime while wating for a bus, we sat on a bench.

"Could you tell me what happened after that thing exploded? Did you wake up in the hospital too?" I curiously asked.

"I didn't know what happened, I just fell into a void of darkness then I woke up on a hospital bed then I searched up my surroundings only to find dad asleep nearby, I was very worried about you since I didn't really know what happened to you so I woke dad up and asked him about your situation then dad explained that you were okay and the doctor told me to stay still and rest." He said.
