Vern’s POV

When the time hit 10:15 the house was starting to fill up. Everyone was here from Lana Del Rey to 5sos. I was starting to feel anxious and really annoyed so I went outside to smoke. As I sat down on the sand and took a drag when someone tackled me making me scream. It was Matty of course. I rolled my eyes and took another puff of my cigarette. He pulls out his own and I give him a light. He huffs loud and looks at me.

“What” I said saying kind of rude. I felt bad about it after I said it.

“Nothing, hows you and George” he asked

“What do you mean” I said confused.

“Like when are you guys getting together?” he asks.

“Umm I don’t think we’re gonna. He doesn’t like me that way anyway” I said. I started to think about Jesse and how we almost kissed earlier. I was so attracted to him, he was sweet, funny, and so hot. I wonder what it would feel like to kiss him…………

“Earth to Vern!!!”. I snapped out of my thought and went back to listening to Matty.

“He really likes you just think about it” he says and then gets up and walks off.

When the hell did this happen. To be honest I was so confused and I didn’t know what to do. This is why I like to be single, the drama is too much for me to handle. I just laid there on the sand and tried to find a clear solution, only to think about Jesse. Why is he still on my mind…

Zach’s POV

I can feel the tension between Jesse and George.  I can tell they both want Vern and I don’t think either of them are gonna back off without a fight. I was starting to worry, when I saw Bailey and all my problems seemed to melt away. She was something special, I had to make her mine. There was a lot of people already here and more showing up. I started looking around for Bailey when I saw Jesse and George getting in a heated argument. I walked over to see what it was all about.

“Why are you still stuck on her? dude, you broke up like a year ago. GET. OVER. IT.” Jesse was semi-yelling

“You don’t understand our relationship” George was saying

“What relationship? From as far as I know she’s single” Jesse said.

 

Before I could jump in, Vern came over yelling at both of them.

“What the HELL is going on here?! You know what don’t even answer that! Sorry everyone party’s over, have a good night.” she exclaimed

She sees George and Jesse starting to leave and says “No! you two, sit down.”

Bailey grabbed my hand and led me outside to her car. I didn’t know where we were going, but I didn’t care. I didn’t want to be in there anymore and I was with Bailey so I didn’t really mind.

Jesse’s POV

I actually felt really low of myself for arguing with George, especially here at Vern’s. I felt like I disrespected her, but I couldn’t help myself. I really really liked her.

“Now, why were you two arguing?” Vern said

“George said that you guys had a relationship, is that true?” I said.

“Well, um we had a little something in the past, but it’s been over for a while. We’re just really good friends now, that’s all. Why?.” Vern said
