Jesse’s POV
We pulled up to the girls house and we see a crowd of people standing in the middle of the driveway, I noticed Vern, Bailey, and shockingly some of our friends from the 1975! I wonder what they’re doing here. Zach and I hop out of the car to greet them.
“Hey Matty! what’re you guys doing here?”
“We’re old friends of Vern’s I could ask you the same thing!”
“We came to hangout well actually help Vern, Bailey and the girls to help move and unpack”
“No way, same here”
I walked over to Vern and said hey, she game me a warming hug, and I noticed George giving me a weird look as she did. I wonder what that was all about. I looked around to find Zach and saw him and Bailey walking away together. Who knows where they’re going. We continued to unpack and I had to admit, even when Vern wasn’t dressed up she still looked as beautiful as ever, I couldn’t help but to smile at her, she was so cute.

Bailey’s POV
“Finished!” I exclaimed. We had finally moved everything from the truck and tour bus making us completely settled. Everyone looked happy we were finished especially Vern.
“Lets get some pizza, Im starving” she says with a goofy look on her face. Both George and Jesse stare at her with complete adoration but of course she doesn’t notice. Shes so oblivious to everything around her.
I go downstairs to find my phone to order pizza and Zach follows me. I call the pizza place and order 4 pizzas while Zach is staring at me.
“What are you staring at?”
“You”
“Why are you staring at me?”
“Because you’re adorable”, I feel my cheeks redden and I look down fidgeting with my fingers.
“Thanks” I say with a small smile. He starts to walk towards me and I look down still shy from his earlier comment. He continues to come closer and I can feel our bodies getting closer but I don’t look up. He grabs my chin and picks my head up so we’re looking deep into each others eyes. I closed my eyes and breathed in his scent. All of a sudden I feel his lips on mine as he passionately kisses me, and I realize I’m kissing him back.
We separated and we were both breathing heavy. I couldn’t believe that just happened it was like nothing I’d ever experienced before. He started to back away and that’s when I pulled him in for another.

Vern’s POV
I excuse myself from the guys and grab my pocketbook from the other room. I pull out my pack of Marlboros, my lighter and head downstairs. As I turn the corner I see Zach and Bailey having a hardcore makeout session in the kitchen. I laugh quietly to myself and sneak out to the back door. I walk out and sit in the sand and light cigarette. I breathe in the toxins and my body is finally at ease. I know I should quit and I have been slowly weaning myself off, but I still need at least two a day. I jump a little when I see Jesse next to me.
“Oh sorry I didn’t mean to scare you”
“Its ok, I wasn’t really THAT scared” I wink at him.
He says it’s really nice out and I agree. I put out my cigarette and start to walk over to the water.
“You comin?” I yell before I continue to walk towards the water

Jesse’s POV
I followed Vern to the water, she stopped at the edge of the ocean, I stopped too.
“Do you see that?” she said pointing up.
“See what?”
Next thing I know there’s a handful of water splashed in my face, she giggles adorably and starts to run away.
“Catch me if you can” she screams
I began to run after her and we’re both laughing. I finally caught up to her and grabbed her by her waist and she turned around, and we made deep eye contact for a few moments, once we broke eye contact I pick her up over my shoulder and playfully run back to the water and toss her in, next thing you know we’re both splashing around like little kids when it’s your first time at the beach. Once we got up, we’re standing body to body and we look each other deep in the eyes once again, I start to lean in and so does she until we heard a loud scream. It was Bailey yelling
“The pizza’s here!!!!”
I cursed her in my mind. Damn you Bailey.
