"I'm going be completely honest I have no idea about how to find a suitable school" Jungkook said.

"I don't want to put any pressure on you, I'm sure anyone would be suitable, provided it's close and it isn't a big inconvenience to you" Jake said, trying his best to make sure he came across as amiable as possible.

"Look, we need a school that doesn't ask questions - am I right expect that you aren't bringing your existing grades with you?"

Jake gulped as the difficulty of his position became more clear to him "no".

Jungkook got out a pen and begun scribbling onto the back of an envelope, "That's what I feared. We are going to need a school that's close by, that doesn't ask questions and isn't completely awful. And on top of that we need to accomplish this as soon as possible as I think the schools go back next week"

"Next week?" Jake's eyes widened.

Jungkook leant back from his computer Jungkook thought out loud, "Yup and what makes the extra difficult is I don't really know any schools in the area, or anyone with kids"

"No friends with kids? How about family?" Jake queried

"Nope"

"How about any neighbours?"

"You know what, now that you mention it I think 131 have a couple of kids." Jungkook scratched his chin in thought, "I think it's time for some cyber stalking."

In what seemed like a scarily short period of time, Jungkook had seemingly completed his 'stalk' and turned his computer to Jake "Here. This is the school they send their boy to."

Looking at the screen Jake saw the website displaying a high school with all the generic photos of pupils walking down corridors laughing or looking studiously at books. "This is his school. How did you find it so quickly?"

Jungkook detailed his tracking abilities with a smug satisfaction, "It's kind of scary, you first find the parents socials, then find their kid's, then scan through the photos they're tagged in until you come across a tag which is a school."

Jungkook gave Jake as long as he need to look through the school's website and reviews before waiting for some feedback. "It looks good, it does the same diploma I study before and it's close right? But how do we overcome the other obstacles, like my lack of a history?

Jungkook scratched his top lip"Hmmm, I suppose I need to see if I can exploit my 'contacts'" Jungkook's hands performed an air commas gesture. Jake was beginning to wonder just who was this man was who turned out to be his saviour.

After a few more minutes Jungkook declared that some of his friends had attended the high school and so he was going to try and use them for help. He first called a friend demanding their friend give him the phone number of their parents. After a back-and-forth the friend relinquished. Using the number he had just being sent Jungkook transformed his persona to a polite and eloquent  young man who charmed the phone number of one of the school's governors of his friend's mother.

The third call was a very different demeanour to either of the previous calls. Jungkook's mannerisms and speech became much slower and tentative. In the call he had impressed the urgency of a situation that he had concocted on the back of the envelope: Jaeyun was Jungkook's nephew who's parents had left him without any instructions outside of Jungkook's apartment building several weeks ago. They had subsequently disappeared off the face of the Earth. Despite searches by family, friends and the police nothing had materialised and the final school year was now upon them so the were looking to enrol Jaeyun immediately.

That was elaborate enough but then Jungkook almost went overboard with respects to Jaeyun's previous place of education. Stating that it had shut down the semester before and thus all of its records were now in the responsibility of The State. Jungkook assured the governor that he could provide the school with official certification of this fact. Taking this at face value the governor had arranged for Jungkook and Jaeyun to meet the head of admissions later that afternoon.

Jungkook's final phone call was to another friend who worked for the Ministry of Education and he returned his demeanour to that of his first phone call. "Look, I never thought you would ever be useful but I really need a favour" Jungkook opened with the snarky comment before going to lengths to explain why he was owed several favours by the friend. As far as Jake could work out most involved Jungkook rescuing this person's boyfriend at several parties. Saving him from what Jake wondered but couldn't think of an answer.

Ultimately Jungkook was successful in drawing the favour. Jake joined him in his office, to receive a forged certificate displaying all of Jaeyun's grades. Jake was quietly pleased that he had being able to blag to Jungkook that all his grades were a mark above the ones he had left back in Australia.

"Right, we've got everything, we now just need to get to the school and finish the job" Jungkook said holding a print out of the forged document.

"But it's forged" Jake said pointing at the document, "are sure they won't see through it?"

"I'm confident, besides, it came from the MoE, so it's actually official" Jake laughed at the reality of the situation. "Now c'mon" Jungkook ordered, "we need to get changed for this meeting, I guess I'll need to lend you some clothes?"

Jake had not brought any real formal wear so ended up wearing some of Jungkook's clothes. Dressed in a baggy suit with a white shirt Jake followed Jungkook out of the apartment into and into a taxi to the school.

During their ride Jungkook impressed upon Jake the consistencies they had to uphold for their story to be bought. Jake was grateful that Jungkook was going to do most of the talking - he just had to remember, he was now Jeon Jaeyun.

Upon leaving the cab they were greeted by the Head of Admissions. She had a kind disposition that comforted both Jake and Jungkook too. Once in her office Jungkook repeated much of the same story that he had told to the governor earlier. He cited the recently manufactured document as evidence of Jake's academic merit. She heard their plight and was satisfied with their credentials.

Ultimately private education, like most things was a transaction for profit and it wasn't long until the school's bursar was summoned. He was prompt and seemed to click with Jungkook instantly in a way that two men who prioritise efficiency magnetise.

Jungkook made a bank transfer from his phone and that was it, he was in. Jake had smiled and nodded politely during his first visit to the school, he couldn't truly believe what was happening. How had this come off? Here he was, sat in a new school where a man who'd rescued him that morning was standing up shaking the hand of two other adults confirming his admission. The bewildering nature of Jake's situation was compounded when Jungkook asked where they should we pick up Jaeyun's uniform. This was actually happening.

Jake was in awe as they left the school gates, everything was surreal. His life was changing before his eyes. With everything moving so fast only one thing was apparent to Jake. The man who had saved him was an enigma, a dynamo who made stuff happen, seemingly from nothing. Jungkook was obviously clever, judging by his friends he was well connected but how had he the courage to take a task Jake would have considered impossible and complete it in a day?  "Who are you Jeon Jungkook?"

"What? No thank you?" He responded smirking,

"You know I can't even begin to thank for anything"

"I suppose that's fair. Me? I don't know, a fixer of sorts"

"A fixer of sorts? What does that mean?"

"That means 'I'm good at getting things. I'm good at getting things that other people want but the struggle to obtain. Land, people, data - the kind of things that exist with high demand"

Jake contemplated the answer. Jungkook was obviously keeping his cards close to his chest. It seemed fair to Jake that they both had secrets.
