As they sprinted away from the apartment building, Jake's heart raced with anxiety. "What the hell is happening?" he whispered, desperate for an answer. His companions were running ahead of him, each one moving at their own pace. Jungwon was in the lead, followed by Jay, with Jake and Sunghoon bringing up the rear. Sunghoon was weighed down by his bag and a heavy mind, lagging behind the rest.

Just before they left the car park, Jake noticed Sunghoon lingering behind. It looked like he wanted to do something, but was eventually pulled away by the group.

The rain poured down from the grey sky, making it difficult for them to see anything but the path in front of them. The streets were mostly deserted, allowing them to move quickly without attracting attention. However, Jake could feel his breathing becoming labored as he tried to keep up with the others.

Finally, they found a tree for cover and huddled under its shade, trying to escape the rain. Jake was panting, and he asked again with a hint of desperation in his voice, "Why is Jungkook getting arrested?"

But his question was met with silence, until Jay spoke up. He was the furthest from the tree's trunk, the rain still pouring down on him, and he raised his hand, signaling for quiet. "I think I might know," he said with a serious tone.

"Huh?" Jungwon spoke for Jake too with his confusion.

Sunghoon let out an exhale, closing his eyes, "Oh god!" he said aloud.

"I..." Jay began - he was speaking to Jungwon, "I told your family that you were with him..."

Jungwon's moved with sudden speed and delivered a fist that landed cleanly on Jay's nose.

"Jungwon?" Jake and Sunghoon said in unison, moving to grab Jungwon to restrain him.

"I think..." Jay said, his hand cupped beneath his nose as if expecting it to catch something, "... I deserved that"

"Think?" Jungwon repeated mockingly. "What the hell Jay? Why did you do that?"

Jake looked at his bludgeoned friend as dark crimson drops had begun falling into his palm. Was he really responsible for this? It seemed such a revelation that only Jungwon reacted.

"I was worried about you Wonie" Jay said, " We all were"

"We?" Jungwon seemed almost offended and wriggled himself free from Jake and Sunghoon. "We?" He repeated. "Who's we Jay?"

"Your family"

"My family? What the hell do you know about my family?"

"I know that..."

"Know what? Do you not remember all the times I've talked to you about them. Hell, you've met them. Did that mean nothing to you? I let you in to my life and my home and you've not picked up on any of it."

"I..."

"Jay! I'm a kid, you're basically a man, what is going on?"

"What?"

"Why do you obsesses with my life and my problems?"

"I..."

"Don't listen. Don't think about anyone but yourself?"

"I THINK ABOUT YOU! I CARE ABOUT YOU!"

"Oh shut up Jay. Do you remember that party where you tried to get those girls to hook up with me? You suck Park Jay. It's because of you that I ran my mouth and why we're here. It's because of you why..." Jungwon gestured at towards the apartment.

Rain drops fell on Jungwon's outstretched hand. He ceased his rant and looked slowly at Jay before asking meekly,  "What do you want from me?"

Jake risked a glance over at Sunghoon. Sunghoon noticed it and gave an expression that indicated he had no idea what what was happening. Jake was still running through the myriad of emotions overwhelming him. Hurt, shame, anger, fear and impatience all saddled together with further confusion to confound him.
