Standing on the platform before the incoming train, squeaking from the train's wheels against the rails prevents you from hearing what your navy-haired companion has to say.
"Forget it!" she yells over the loud whistle, "I'll tell you later!"
The two of you quickly hop on the train and take a seat inside before the doors close.
"How come you didn't want to use your quirk today?" you ask as your friend slouches down in her seat.
"It's so draining, Y/N. I'd honestly rather not wear myself out by doing things the two of us can do easily anyway."
"Fair enough," you sigh, "Anyway what were you trying to tell me before?"
The girl sits up, a new smile graces her face as she looks to you with excitement.
"I was trying to tell you about this new bar downtown! You want to go tonight?"
"Don't you ever have school work?" you tease.
"No, and neither do you," she grins back.
"Sure, I'll go. It's not like I'm capable of saying no to you anyway, Yoruko, but how are we going to get money to-"
Yoruko subtly points to a blonde man with spikey standing alone over by the doors, his back facing you. The two of you look at each other and smile.
"I thought you didn't want to use your quirk?"
"Eh, it's fine," she shrugs, "It's worth it. I just hope he's rich."
"Okay well, same procedure as usual then?" you ask.
"You know it!"
The two of you walk over towards the man. You notice a group of loud people nearby him, but surmise that he's not with them.
Just as you approach him, Yoruko stops walking. You nod to her slightly before walking in front of the man.
"Excuse me," you say politely to him.
Before finishing your comment to him, he looks up at you with narrow red eyes as though he's about to yell for you to go away.
Wow, he looks really pissed off. Should I leave him alone?
You look over at Yoruko who's giving you an 'I swear to god if you don't do this I'll kill you' expression on her face, so you suck it up and keep talking.
"I was just-"
As you now look back to the stranger you begin taking in his features, realizing just how handsome he is. For a moment you see his eyes soften, but before you get too deep in thought he interrupts you with a newfound frown on his lips.
"What do you want?" he scowls.
Now that he's snapped you out of your trace, you're able to get right back to your task.
"I was wondering if you knew what the next stop was," you say sweetly, "I couldn't really understand what the person over the speaker said."
The man begins mumbling something under his breath about "extras always not paying attention" but quickly puts on a confused face as if he's just realized something. Eventually, he snaps out of it and continues the conversation.
"Between block twelve and thirteen," he says before looking out the door window.
"That's my stop!" you lie, "Um, do you know the quickest way to get to block seventeen from there?"
"Seriously?!" he almost yells, "What are you new here or something? You don't even know who I-"
"I'm really sorry sir," you say as you hang your head down, "I don't mean to be of any trouble, I'm just trying to get to my grandparents' house and they're so bad with directions..."
You look up with sad eyes to see the man staring back at you with a mix of disgust yet concern, as if he partially saw right through your lie but wasn't completely convinced.
"Fine," he grumbles before starting to give you directions.
As he looks away you analyze the pockets in his jackets and pants, noticing a lump about the right size of a wallet in his left pocket. Without him noticing, you swiftly use your telekinesis to lift the wallet out and into Yoruko's hands. Just as she gives you a thumbs up, the stranger looks back at you.
"Did you even hear what I said?" he yells again.
"Sure did," you say as you slowly walk around towards Yoruko, "thanks for your help."
You let out a big grin right as Yoruko opens up her warp gate. You easily slip right through before the stranger even has time to begin processing the situation.
Now that you're back in your apartment, you finally take in a deep breath.
"God, that guy was seriously scary," you laugh as Yoruko changes back into her human form.
"Hey did that guy look familiar to you?" she asks suddenly.
"No," you shrug, "Why?"
Yoruko suddenly runs to her room. You roll your eyes and follow after her.
"I think I would recognize that guy if I'd seen him before," you sigh as you walk into her room, "He had serious anger... woah."
On Yoruko's computer screen she has already pulled up a google image search of the guy you just stole from.
"Stalker," you whisper as you lean over her shoulder, "How did you do that?"
"That," she says as she points directly at the screen, "is Bakugou Katsuki. One of the top pro heroes."
"Seriously?" you groan as you flop yourself down onto Yoruko's bad, "Are you kidding?"
"No," she laughs, "but how did you not realize it?! You were talking to him!"
"I don't know," you whine, "you know I don't involve myself with shitty heroes."
"Whatever," your roommate continues to tease as she turns her chair to face you, "At least we've got some decent cash for fun tonight."
"Think he's smart enough to cancel the credit cards?" you mock as you sit up on your elbows.
"Probably, but we don't need them. Tonight'll be great thanks to the incompetent pro heroes," she laughs.
You scoff as you lay down again on her bed, thinking about how grateful you are for Yoruko's warping quirk.
"If he was such a pro, he would have been able to save his wallet from being kidnapped by villains."
