"Of course, I mean come on, it's me," Zane laughed and grinned later.
"Yeah, anyways..." I trailed, not knowing what else I could do.
"There was a reason why I came actually, it's about David." I said starting up a conversation.
"You guys like hooked up? Spare me the details; I don't want to know this." He moaned obviously assuming things. People never learn do they? Assuming makes an ass out of you and me.
"No... He's gay."
"He's gay in bed what? Like he sucks in bed or likes in the butt? What a shame, he might've won the so called bet, but the kid lasted thirty seconds, is that what you're trying to say?" Zane said, through fits of laughter, he was seriously rolling on the floor laughing.
I grabbed a huge pillow from the couch and whacked him a couple of times, this was probably the fiftieth time I hit him with a pillow. "Will you shut up and listening. Stop assuming stuff. You really think after hearing about the stupid bet, I would become easy." I said sternly, while huffing my way back over to the couch, arms crossed over my chest.
"Okay, okay I'm all ears."
I slowly sighed and then looked up at Zane, he was seated on the couch as well, but something about his face made me burst out laughing. The times you want to be serious, the littlest things can start up a laughing fit. I shoved a pillow in his face, thinking it would help.
"Stop it; I really want to explain the story."
"Stop what? I don't think I'm doing anything wrong." He answered giving me an innocent grin.
"Okay, forget it, on with the story. David is gay, as in he likes guys. In fact I found him in bed with a guy, so you were kinda right I guess, he's gay in bed." I finally finished.
"Not that shocking, but still wow. Good thing you weren't like in love with him... Wait were you?"
"Oh heavens no, I just kinda maybe had a major crush on him in elementary school. So I'm not going to lie and say I wasn't bothered, because I was. It was the guy he bullies, how effed up is that? I poured a carton of chocolate milk on his sex hair head. Bitch deserved that." I said the last bit in a revengeful tone, couldn't help myself.
"Fricken high five me now. Win." He laughed. "But seriously, forget him; you have bigger and better things to like getting back at a couple of people."
"So true, so true. I just have two targets, Lisa and Manwhore guy." An evil smile crept over my lips.
Suddenly I heard steps throughout the house, the hushed steps was quiet, but then the padding of feet across the floor on the main level, became louder. I heard the person descend down the stairs afterwards, a couple squeaks heard on certain steps. The fail moment when you're trying to sneak up on someone but accidentally step on a squeaky section.
A girl's voice rang in my ears, "Zane, you down here?" She asked, and Zane replied back stating the obvious, yes he is in the basement. Was this his you know, girl friend? Well don't friends; tell friends if they are dating someone? But Zane and I have an effed up friendship. Tenseness took over my body, I suddenly felt awkward, being here. I hate how you can be happy and all smiles ones moment and then one itty bitty things throws your emotion off and your like totally the opposite of how you felt like a minute ago?
I shifted my eyes nervously around the room, my bottom lip held hostage between my teeth. We all do weird things in awkward moments, this just happens to me. I glanced around and tried my best to find something that can grab my interest to just let me forget about what's going on. Yes, I know, I'm aware I am a little worry wart, just shut up about it.
