Hi, back with more of the story!
If I don't post everyday, it's because
-I'm busy
-Not in the mood [not gonna lie..]
-Don't have time
-Or I'm typing but want to make the post longer.
This is probably the LONGEST post I've written so far i think, and quite frankly I'm proud of myself!! :D
-------------------------------------------------
I was finally home, I threw my Jansport on the ground and rushed to the kitchen. Opening the fridge urgently I grabbed a cold water bottle and took a sip. Well a lot of sips. My father suddenly emerged into the room. Silence took over...
"Hi." He said in a soft tone. A tone I am definitely not use to.
"Hi." I said grabbing my water bottle and moving over to the island in the kitchen and taking a seat.
"So how was school?" He said moving closer to me.
My stomach rumbled loudly, and my father grinned slightly. "Take a cookie, made them yesterday." he said and pointing to the cookie jar.
At first I was sceptical, for once we were not yelling at each other, tempers weren't flaring. Just plan talk.
I nibbled on the cookie, for a taste test and then stuffed it in my mouth. "So how was school?" He asked once again.
"Good." I replied with the most used answer by kids nowadays.
"Alright, that's good." He said and shuffled his way into the living room.
After eating a bit more cookies, I went upstairs and worked on some homework. I'm not a procrastinator. I hate leaving things to the last minute because everything is rushed and I feel so stressed. I love getting things done early so you don't have to worry about anything later.
Couple hours later I laid back onto my bed and landed with a quiet thump. My heart began to race a bit, I heaved a sigh. Shutting my eyes for a few minutes, my thoughts cleared. It's just nice to relax sometimes.
Stopping my relaxation I got up and ran several fingers through my messy brown hair. What should I do with my hair tonight? I thought as I stared intently at my reflection through the mirror. Pulling a few strands and gazing at myself in the mirror. I decided on straightening it, and teasing it afterwards.
But first I took a shower, wrapped in a towel and a towel wrapped around my hair, I walked to my room. Drying off quickly I put on some gray skinny's with a yellow belt., and a dark purple tee. This wasn't technically a date was it? In my mind, it's just two friends going out to a movie to see a gory filled movie. I mean why should I doll myself up? What good will that do? I'm not your Barbie type girl who tries to outdo her style.
As I was unravelling the towel on my head, my sister waltzed into the room, and sat on the bean bag in the corner of my room.
"Got a hot date tonight sis?" She winked and giggled at me.
"No, it's just me and friend seeing a movie." I replied calmly while turning my straighter to the highest temperature.
"Who you going with?" Ashley questioned with an arched brow as she took hold of my straighter and began doing my hair.
"David." I answered slowly and quietly while staring at the mirror.
My sister's eyes popped open, her jaw dropping down, flies could've had easy access to fly in her mouth. Just saying.
