It took a while for the two women to unload the SUV. Some stuff went to the bedroom and master bath while the rest went to the kitchen. As they were separating the bags and boxes, the first delivery van arrived. It was the new bedroom suite which excited Angelika. They could stay in their own home for the first time that night. She directed the moving men where she wanted everything to go making Gemma proud. She took charge but was nice about it as she had them move and arrange her furniture the way she wanted it. As they were about to leave, the delivery guys with her living room suite arrived. Angelika was excited to see them as well.
Now they needed electronics and the living room would be almost complete. A side table here or there and some lamps would really make the room. Perhaps some pictures hung up on the walls. Gemma was putting up the items for the kitchen while Angelika was directing the delivery guys where she wanted everything to go. An hour later and they were gone as well. Her new home was coming together nicely. Gemma smiled and suggested they head back to the clubhouse. The blond was a bit nervous at letting Happy know how much she'd spent, how much she had left, and what all she'd purchased. He was a frugal man and it was his money she'd spent.
Seeing the pair returning to the lot made Happy a bit anxious. The expenditure was necessary, the logical part of his brain knew that, but shelling out that much money for furniture and other things when they had a perfectly good dorm bothered his frugal side. The two women walked over to where he was leaning against the car he'd been working on. Angelika smiled at him and said she'd gotten them a bedroom suite, a living room set, stuff for the bathroom, and all the kitchen stuff plus some extra linens and still had money left over. All they hadn't done was gone grocery shopping yet.
Happy was shocked to hear what the blond was telling him. He was very thankful she was able to find items she liked that were on sale! He told her to stay there and he'd get a little more money for her to go grocery shopping with. Gemma smirked at the Killah as he walked past them to head to his dorm room. Angelika then began to internally panic. She'd never really cooked before. Outside of instant oatmeal that is. Would he expect her to cook? Seeing the panic across the younger woman's face made Gemma worry. When she asked, Angelika blurted out that she'd never been taught how to cook and how she and Happy were going to starve because she couldn't cook. Gemma promised she'd teach her everything she knew about cooking and baking and to not worry about a thing.
Happy returned with a few hundred dollars to add to what she already had. The blond thanked him making him smile slightly at her. Gemma nodded at the younger woman so the pair left the lot again to do some grocery shopping for the house. As they drove to the grocery store, Gemma began telling her how to cook certain things, how to read the package labels that told her how to make things, and that she'd bring over a cookbook that she had that she didn't use much anymore for the young woman to look through that had lots of tips and tricks. Gemma also promised to come over and help teach her to cook.
Angelika thanked the older woman for all her help as they climbed out of the car at the grocery store. Both women grabbed carts since they were stocking the house for the first time. Gemma led the way in this trip knowing what would be good to start out with. Fruits were a good choice. A bag of potatoes. Some fresh veggies to cook with. A gallon of milk, two blocks of cheese. "It's better to grade your own cheese than to use the already shredded stuff because it's a healthier alternative. But when you're feeding a lot of people like we do when we go on lockdown, I'll grab the pre-shredded cheese to make things go easier." Gemma explained earning a head nod in response.
Gemma picked up two large packages of frozen chicken, three large rolls of hamburger meat, several packages of boneless pork chops, a couple roasts, two loaves of bread. A jar of peanut butter, lunch meat, sliced cheese, condiments, crock pot liners, large and small Ziploc bags, paper towels, two cases of beer for Happy, a couple cases of soda for Angelika. The carts were filling up fast. Angelika picked up some frozen pizzas, frozen lasagnas, and some frozen burritos. Gemma picked up a large carton of eggs, a package of bacon, a package of breakfast sausage, and a couple cans of biscuits. The older woman promised learning how to cook breakfast was just as important as learning to cook a good dinner. Lunch could be gotten from the diner.
Once Gemma had all she thought Angelika needed, including spices and seasonings, they headed to the checkout line. Angelika sighed as she watched everything being rung up and hated how much the bill was turning out to be. They did need the groceries so it was a necessary expenditure. Two full carts full of groceries and she felt bad for the people waiting in line behind her. She paid with cash and waited for her change as Gemma started rolling one cart out to her car. She stuffed her change in her pocket along with the receipt and quickly followed the Matriarch out to the SUV. As they made their way back to Angelika's new home, Gemma gave her more tips and tricks about cooking. The blond hoped she'd remember everything and not burn the house down in an attempt at cooking.
It took over half an hour to get all the groceries put up and away. The bed was made and the linens were already put up in the linen closet. The bathroom was set the way she wanted it. All they needed were the electronics and the house would be pretty much ready to live in. She didn't know Happy was taking care of the electronics problem. Chibs was excited to see this home that his assassin was sharing with his 'ol lady. One of Unser's trucks were loading some high quality electronics so Happy, Quinn, and Opie broke in and took four sixty-five inch TVs, four xBox One S's, and a large stereo system.
They loaded their loot into the van that was being driven by the prospect and Juice as quickly as they could before taking off. Gemma was helping Angelika make their dinner for the night when the sound of several Harleys could be heard coming up the driveway. "You need some curtains, sweetheart." Gemma commented as they stared out the kitchen window. Angelika sighed making the older woman laugh and tell her it would be on her as a house-warming gift. Angelika was surprised to see Happy, Quinn, Opie, Chibs, hopping off their bikes. The prospect and Juice exited the van then walked around to the back to open it up. Happy walked into the house with his brothers following closely behind. "Wow!" Chibs exclaimed as he looked around.
"Hey." Angelika was a bit nervous at how he was going to take to the furniture she'd picked out.
"Smells good in here." Opie stated.
"Beautiful house, man." Quinn commented.
Happy led the group further into the living room and inspected what she'd purchased them for a living room set. He nodded his approval making her sigh with relief. She headed back into the kitchen with Gemma while he gave the grand tour of their home. Chibs was a bit shocked that he'd spent so much money just for a house for her knowing how he hated to spend money. The medic figured Gemma had said something to him about them living in the clubhouse and needing their own space. Juice and the prospect brought one TV into the living room and set it up before heading back outside to fetch the next one. Opie headed outside to grab the xBoxes so Juice could hook everything up when he was done bringing in TV's into each of the bedrooms.
Angelika wanted to know where the electronics had come from but thought better of asking. Juice got all the xBoxes hooked up to the TVs in each room before really looking around the house. He couldn't quite see Happy living in such a normal looking home. He figured Happy would want something more rugged looking. Something more meaning looking. The Killah was happy to see Angelika in the kitchen with Gemma making dinner although they had no dinner table yet. Chibs promised the assassin they'd get a dining room set for the couple earning a grunt in response. Happy told the two women they were heading back to the clubhouse so he could get their stuff from his dorm and bring it to the house. She nodded at him before he turned and left.
All her clothes were still in her duffle bag but he had to actually pack up. Once all his stuff was packed, he tossed it into the back of the van and told the prospect to follow him to his new house. He took their bags then told the prospect to head back to the clubhouse. Gemma was still there helping Angelika make dinner. While the two women were in the kitchen, Happy took their bags to the master suite. He'd let her unpack and put things where she wanted them. As he looked over at her duffle, he realized she needed more clothes. He couldn't get upset over it, she'd had to leave her house in a hurry and was only able to take what she could carry with her. She had needed to travel light.
