The next morning was just as tense as when people had gone back to bed. Tara was all cut up and giving death glares to Angelika who was completely ignoring her. Tara's plan had backfired and nearly turned all the club against her instead of Angelika. Gemma was on the blonde's side instead of her daughter-in-law's which didn't help Tara's case. Jax called church as soon as everyone had gotten up. Happy groaned but got dressed and made his way into the chapel. Jax wanted to know everything about Angelika. Both Happy and Chibs stated they weren't going to betray the trust she's put in them making the blond sigh and light up a smoke.
"We need to know. She's dangerous. We need to know if she's a threat to this club or not." Jax rubbed his chin.
"She's no threat to anyone unless they attack her first." Happy stated, glaring at Jax.
"Look man, your 'ol lady clearly did that to herself if Angelika was with Happy all night in his room." Tig stated.
"We need to know about this woman. She's threatened Tig, she's threatened Tara, and now Tara's been hurt." Jax exclaimed.
"No." Happy stated.
"I'll see if the lass will let us tell ya the basics o' 'er life. Will that be enough?" Chibs asked.
"Anything more than we know now." Jax stated.
Chibs got up to go talk to her leaving everyone else in the chapel. He found her sitting at a table sipping on a cup of coffee.
"Lass, we need t' tell the rest o' the club a little about your life. Just the basics, no details. Will ya let Hap and me do that?" Chibs asked.
"Basics like what?" She narrowed her eyes at him.
"That you've been abused by your folks all your life. That you ran away from home after witnessing your father killing your mother. That you've been on your own homeless for the last four years. You were betrayed by a woman at a homeless camp after confiding in 'er details of your life. How you were attacked by a different MC. Things like that." Chibs explained.
She thought it over for a moment or two before looking up at him.
"They really need t' know so they know you're no threat t' anyone that doesn't attack you first." He stated.
"Well. Vague basics I guess." She relented.
"Thank ya, love. I promise we'll do our best not t' betray the trust you've put in us." He exclaimed, accent getting thicker as he spoke.
She nodded before watching him walk back into the chapel. Chibs looked over at Happy and nodded as he sat down at his chair.
"So?" Jax looked at the Scotsman.
"She's agreed t' let us tell ya the basics o' 'er life." Chibs replied.
"Go on." Jax told him.
"Happy was right. The girl's life 'as been shit. Was physically and emotionally abused all 'er life by both parents. When she was a teen, she witnessed 'er da kill 'er ma. She ran away that night and has been on 'er own ever since and homeless. After confiding in a woman at a homeless camp, the woman betrayed her trust which is why she doesn't trust women at all. On 'er travels, she's been attacked by several different MC's.
Being homeless and a female, she's learned the only one she can depend on is 'erself. She 'as strong self-protective instincts. Although she doesn't want t' fight, she'll defend 'erself if she 'as to." Chibs explained.
"So...why did she react so violently to Tig when he smacked her ass?" Juice asked.
"She's been assaulted before." Happy added in.
