She ran away from an abusive home at fourteen. She learned to live on the streets and how to look out for herself after watching her father kill her mother.
What happens when she rolls into Charming four years later?
Can she find redemption in a cer...
The next morning, Angelika found herself feeling strange. Her eyes opened and she realized she wasn't in her room. She began to panic. "Relax, little girl." a gruff, sleep-addled voice said from behind her. Her body instantly relaxed. As she got her bearings, she realized they were on their sides with him spooned up behind her. His left arm was under her head which she seemed to be cuddling with while his right arm was snaked firmly around her waist tucking her into him and keeping her firmly against him. She could feel his body heat and it made her heart beat a little faster.
"You got anywhere to be today?" She heard him ask, his chin rubbing up against her neck.
"Not unless Gemma needs me in the office today." She replied.
"Good. I'm taking you out for a ride." He told her.
There was no asking, it was fact. She just laid there basking in his warm embrace. As they laid there together, a knock came at his door. "Jackie Boy's calling for church, Hap! Get up!" they heard Chibs exclaim from the other side of the door.
"So much for that ride." Happy grumbled making her smile.
She rolled over so she could look at him. Staring into his eyes, she promised she'd be there whenever he got out of church. He leaned down and pressed his lips to hers with her quickly kissing him back and snaking her arm around his neck to pull him closer. Before things could get too heated, he pulled away and stated he had to get dressed and get to church. She nodded before sliding out of bed. With one last look at him, she quietly left his room and headed down the hall to hers. She needed a shower and to get dressed anyways. That kiss kept replaying in her mind. He was so dominant and unlike anything she'd ever heard about.
She took a quick shower then looked through her clothes. Very little was clean and she really hated living in dirty clothes. Before she'd made this pitstop, some of her panhandling money went to the local laundry mat so she could have some clean clothes. Living in the camps had disgusted her although she did it since she had no where else to go. Sighing, she opted for the only set of clean clothes she had left and got dressed.

Having gotten dressed, she headed out to the main room and shook her head again. Just like the previous evening except quite a few of the bikers were no where to be seen. Must be at this meeting Chibs had told Happy he was needed at. She made some coffee and was sipping on a cup when church let out. Happy made his way into the kitchen where his lips upturned slightly as he looked at her. He pinned her against the counter with his hands on the counter as he looked down into her eyes. He was about to lean down and kiss her when Quinn walked in with Juice on his heels.
"Oh." Quinn looked between Happy who was glaring at him and her who was blushing.
"Sorry for the intrusion. Just wanted some coffee." Juice explained.
"Freshly made." Angelika stated as Happy leaned down and kissed her forehead before leaving the kitchen without coffee.
Quinn and Juice looked at one another then back to her without a word. She was just staring into her cup trying to ignore the two men in the room. Once they'd gotten their coffee and left the kitchen, she breathed a sigh of relief. Happy sat down at a table and glared at the pair as they exited the kitchen. He still didn't have any coffee and he hadn't gotten to kiss her like he wanted. Jax had plans for the club for the day and everyone was splitting up. Jax, Tig, Opie, and Juice were going one direction while he, Quinn, Bobby, and Ratboy were going another on business. He wasn't sure when he'd get to see her again and was afraid of what was going to happen while she was here.
Since Gemma hadn't shown up to the shop, Angelika figured she had the day off. She headed back to her dorm to gather up her clothes and take them to the local laundry mat. Seeing her with her bag put Happy on guard. He thought he'd made it clear why he wanted her to stay. Getting up to see why she was leaving he blocked the door leading outside. She looked confused as to why he seemed almost panicked.
"Where are you going?" He demanded making Chibs look at him funny.
"To do my laundry. These are my last set of clean clothes." She shrugged, "I don't own much, remember?"
"I'll see if Jax will let the prospect take you to the laundry mat in the van." Happy told her.
"I'm fine walking, Happy. Honest." She rolled her eyes making Chibs smile at the pair.
"No. It'll be quicker getting you there and back." He stated as he waved the blond biker leader over.
When Jax walked over, eyeing her bag, Happy explained the situation and asked if it was ok for one of the prospects to take the van and take her to the laundry mat. Jax looked at her and said sure. Happy told her to stay there while he found one of the prospects. She sighed at how he was making Chibs chuckle to himself as Tig sat down with a cup of coffee.
"Listen prospect, you don't let her out of your sight. Something happens to her, I'll skin you alive." Happy told the prospect who was more afraid of Happy than any other biker in the clubhouse.
The prospect rushed over to where she stood and told her to follow him to the van. She reiterated she could walk but the prospect told her had strict orders making her sigh again. He took her to the laundry mat and parked the van. She got out with him following which made her uneasy. He sat in a plastic chair as she tossed all the contents except her sketch books into a washer and got it going. She'd had to buy soap from the dispenser at the laundry mat. It was less to carry around that she didn't need to that way. She sat down next to the prospect to await her laundry to be done washing. It was a very boring morning for her.
Neither talked the entire time they were at the mat. He was afraid of insulting her or worse and incurring Happy's wrath. She didn't know what to say to him since they were strangers. Once her laundry was dry, she folded it and put it back in her duffle. She walked over and told the prospect she was ready to head back to the shop. He nodded and walked out to the van. The ride back was just as tense as the ride there and she couldn't wait to get away from the young man. Not that he'd done anything wrong. Since most of the bikers had gone out for the day, she headed straight to her room and locked herself inside. It was going to take a little while to gather up enough cash before she could move on. At least a month of solid work should be enough.
She'd miss Happy but this was just a child's fairy tale. There were no such things, she'd figured that out at fourteen, and her dreams of Prince Charming and the fairy tale life had been shattered. He'd get tired of her or he'd cheat or he'd think she was cheating and things would go downhill like it had with her parents. She couldn't allow that to happen. Letting Happy kiss her, going to his room after her nightmare had been a huge mistake. Even if for the moment it had felt so right. She sighed feeling conflicted. She liked Happy. For the first time in a long time, she was putting her trust in someone and he was proving trustworthy.
She did find him attractive and she loved his voice. Would that be enough, though? Plopping down on her bed, she stared at the ceiling debating on whether she should move on when she had the funds or try to stick around Charming. It seemed like a nice enough town. She was far enough away from her hometown that people shouldn't know her or what happened between her parents. It was nice having a bed to sleep on each night and a personal shower whenever she wanted. Not getting nasty looks as she tried to panhandle but earning a straight salary was nice, too.
Could she befriend these bikers? Could the rest of them really be trusted? The Scotsman seemed nice enough but she'd been fooled before by the niceties. Happy seemed to trust these people and he wanted her to put her trust in him. A killer. An assassin for his club. She didn't know how she was really supposed to trust a murderer but here she was. It was strange. Everything about this place was strange she figured. With nothing else to do, she slipped out of her shoes and scooted around to take a nap.
A/N: Think she'll really stick around or take off?
