A Flicker of Redemption

Chapter 33

Three days. It had been three days since the lockdown was called and Angelika was going insane. Unless she was eating, she remained in her and Happy's dorm room. Lyla tried talking to her but she gave vague answers. The porn star wondered why she seemed so shy and stand-offish but never got a good answer when she asked her 'ol man. Happy encouraged her to hang out with them in the clubhouse but she refused. Now she was pacing their room waiting to hear if the lockdown would be lifted or not. Most of the bikers had left the compound leaving a few patched members behind for protection and all the women and children.

She just wanted to go back to her new home, relax away from all the bikers and other women, and enjoy time with Happy. Hearing a ruckus outside her room, she cautiously opened the door. Jax and Tara were on their way back to their room and were having a fight about something. Seeing the blond biker back meant they'd all come back. She left the room and headed into the clubhouse to find her 'ol man. He was having another smiley face tattooed on his stomach signaling another kill for the club. She'd never met someone so proud of their kills they had a reminder put on their body before. It was odd but who was she to say something, it was just his way of doing things.

He nodded over towards himself when he noticed her standing there. He told her that if things were quiet that night, the lockdown would be lifted the next morning. She sighed with relief hearing that hoping to get back to normal. Chibs walked over and told her that he'd spoken to Lyla about the porn star teaching her to drive a car. Her eyebrows shot to the roof making the medic laugh at her shocked expression. He told her Lyla would come by every afternoon to teach her stuff until she was ready to take her driving test. They'd find her a vehicle somehow so she could have something to get her to and from work on her own. Happy grunted something incoherent.

Angelika thanked Chibs but he just smiled and went to find him a seat with Tig near the pool table where Quinn and Opie were playing. She wanted to watch the game so she moved to sit by the pool table. Once Happy's tattoo was done, he walked over and sat down next to his 'ol lady and draped his arm across her shoulders. The pair remained silent as they watched the two long-haired, beanie-wearing bikers playing pool. Chibs was determined to help Happy's 'ol lady get her license, get her GED, and get a car. He wanted to show her that not all bikers were bastards, that she could depend upon others, and that she wasn't alone in the world anymore.

He asked Juice if he'd help get her set up to do her GED courses online and the IO was more than happy to help after being told she'd never graduated high school and had dropped out in the ninth grade. It made the IO a little more curious about her because all they had been told about the young woman was very vague details of her life. Once Juice had a course set up for her, he told Chibs who thanked him. He walked over to the couple and told Angelika that Juice was going to help her get her GED and she could do it after she got off work in the evenings. Once again, she thanked the medic while Happy just nodded at him. Chibs smiled at her before wandering off to find a drink and a seat. The next thing was finding a reliable car for her.

Tara glared at Angelika when the younger blond looked over at her and Jax. Angelika raised an eyebrow but quickly turned her attention back to the pool game before her. Happy kept his arm around his 'ol lady while they sat there. She rested her hand on his knee but he didn't say anything about it. The blond doctor seethed at the display Angelika was showing. She was flaunting using Happy and it angered the doctor greatly. He was just too blinded by lust to see what the little tart was really up to. No one seemed to see it but her. She'd make them see eventually. Somehow, some way she would make them all see Angelika for what she was. Juice wanted to play next so when the game ended, Quinn handed his stick over.

Happy pulled Angelika onto his lap where she wrapped her arm around his neck and buried her face in the flesh of his neck while Quinn sat down where she had just vacated. Tara fumed at what she was seeing making Angelika smirk. There was nothing Tara could do and it made the blond happy to see her relationship with Happy made Tara so upset. Angelika scooted around trying to get more comfortable but Happy growled at her, "Stop moving." She whispered to him that she was trying to get comfortable. He grunted but said nothing else as they watched the game between Opie and Juice.
