...

hotch had sent you and jj to go to the club where sierra was last seen to talk to the employees. you and jj had almost finished up with the last worker.

"i mean she was kinda asking for it with what she was wearing and how she was dancing." the bartender gus said as you and jj turned around.

you guys immediately stop in your tracks. "what did you just say." jj threatened.

"no no i'm sorry, i didn't mean to offend you pretty ladies." gus chuckled.

"no we know exactly what you meant. sierra was wearing a dress. if you didn't know, when girls grow up they get boobs, a butt, and a nice body and just because her body looked nice in it doesn't mean she was asking for anything but a good time. a dress does not mean yes, being too drunk to understand what is going on does not mean yes, and being too afraid to say no does not mean yes. no one ever asks for this, it is actually one of a girls worse nightmare. when we are alone we all walk around with our keys in between our knuckle, with pepper spray, tasers, and things that set off an alarm when you push the button just in case anything happens. next time think before you speak. oh and by the way, we aren't just pretty ladies, we are federal agents who use guns and take down murders." you said before turning around and leaving.

"damn that was badass." jj said from next to you.

"well someone had to put him in his place." you said as you walked.

jj held you so you could stop walking. "i wanted to apologize. i know i've been acting ru- no i was acting like a total bitch to you when you did nothing to me. i'm not asking you to forgive me i just wanted you to know."

"thank you jj. this team is like a family so i think it would be better if we were on good terms and maybe even friends." you smiled when she let out a sigh of relief.

you and jj drove back to the station listening to music and singing along. when you guys were walking into the station laughing about how gus looked like he was about to shit himself.

"what's got you two all giggly." morgan smirks.

"y/n told off a bartender." jj says proudly.

"i wouldn't say i was telling him off, it was more like me letting him know why he should never say someone deserved to be raped." you said as you sat down. there was cheers and claps as you started working but you just laughed it off.

...

the case took you guys 4 days because of the unsubs very organized ways. you had lost fiona browne but you guys managed to save the last victim just in time. you were now on the jet watching the news on your laptop.

"yesterday afternoon in minneapolis george floyd was killed by police officer derek chauvin. the police were first called because floyd was suspected of using a counterfeit bill. floyd did not get violent with any of the officers but he ended up face down on the pavement with chauvin's knee on the back of his neck for over 8 minutes, despite the fact that he repeatedly said that he couldn't breathe." the news person said.

"have you guys seen this?" you asked, tearing up. you disconnected your airpods and played the video for the team.

"how isn't he in prison? that is murder. i swear i fucking hate this country. i mean people illegally come to this country for a better life but when they come here they find out that you will be treated like an animal if you aren't white. he put up no resistance, so tell me why he was held on the floor?" you were furious.
