chapter 2: different persona

you woke up with a massive headache. you rubbed your eyes and looked around and you weren't in your bed or dress. you stepped out of the room to see spencer sitting reading a book.

"spencer i am so sorry I didn't expect myself to get that fucked up last night." you sighed and looked down because you barely knew the guy and you were sleeping in his bed.

"no its ok and im sorry that i changed you, i didn't look" spencer said nervously.

"well thank you spence, for everything." you grabbed your things and headed for your apartment but when you opened your door you saw that spencer was you neighbor.

"wow it really is a small world." you chuckled and left.

*11 months later*

you and spencer became really close, you would drive him home and most nights you guys ate dinner together and stayed up until 3 am watching tv, and on cases, you guys would compete with facts. you and cat don't talk as much because you are always busy but she understood and penelope and your friendship went back to normal. you and the girls would have girl nights which was always fun and drunk. the bau started to feel like home and they were your family.

you started to pick up on a lot of penelope's traits like the flirting, except you weren't allowed to do it with morgan so you did it with spence. you would flirt with him in front of the team and sometimes alone and he never usually flirted back but when he did we were alone and it was bold. none of the team mentioned the flirting or the hanging out because you are both practically the same and you are neighbors. 

you and spencer were called by penny to go to her place to bring some groceries.

"hello?" you said in a sing-songy voice as you entered her apartment. you walked over to her kitchen where penelope was standing facing spencer then she turned around with blood coming down her cheeks. spencer just stood there like a little boy in an awkward situation with teenage girls.

"are you ok pg?" you said trying not to laugh, she groaned clearly not happy with your reaction.

"wha- you didn't even flinch." penny said visibly sad. "jj's right. i told her I wanted to go scary for this Halloween and she laughed at me, she said that I don't have a scary side." you immediately felt bad for not playing along.

"pen, I didn't flinch because I know you and your personality but, if you make your hair all crazy, wear bloody ripped clothes, and do scary makeup with blood on your face, then people will think your scary it's just your personality is so bubbly it overpowers the scary." you explained to her and she let out a deep breath.

"and you probably do have a dark side." spencer chimed in and penny's head shot up.

"really?!" penny smiled. you loved how spencer could make everyone happy.

"yeah! the building blocks of the human personality is complex, varied, and multifaceted. it is essential to one's mental health to want to express these hidden personalities, and it's just a fact of nature that everyone has one." spencer says like he is in an argument with someone.

"everybody?" you tilted your head and spencers face lit up.

"yes!" spencer said so enthusiastically it looked like it belonged on some cheesy wanna-be comedy show. you and pen glanced at each other. "we want to see it." penny said grinning.

he looked between the two of you and spit out a string of jumbled word fragments in attempt to form something salvageable. "uh, you- uh, right... here? right, like right now you wanna see it?" he tripped over his tongue. that was the bad part of having a brain that runs a mile a minute, your mouth can't always keep up.
