"You were right" I said as Alyssa answered the phone

it's been exactly four days since mattia expressed his feeling towards me and i haven't seen him since

After Mattia left my house four days ago I wanted to call Alyssa and tell her what had happened but I really didn't want to hear her say 'I told you so' and I obviously can't tell her that Mattia was actually at my house threatening my life that day

I couldn't stop thinking about Mattia since that night which has been stopping me from falling asleep these past few days

Currently I'm at work eating a sandwich I made before leaving my apartment, since I was in my lunch break I decided to give Alyssa a call and tell her about mattia

I'm still upset that Mattia paid Warren so I can get hired but I chose to show Warren that he didn't need to get paid to hire me because I'll be the best assistant he'll ever have

"I'm right about a lot of things so be more specific" Alyssa said

"About Mattia" I said "about him liking me"

"You finally put two and two together huh...took you long enough" she said "but I told you so"

and there it was, the famous 'i told you so'

I playfully roll my eyes

"No I didn't put two and two together, he told me...well kinda" I said

"No way!" She said "what did he say?"

"he just said he'll never hurt me because he loves me" I lie

He basically said that so it wasn't a complete lie and plus I can't tell her what he actually said because she will hit me with tons of questions

"Holy shit he said the L word!?" Alyssa freaked "kinda fast...do you feel the same way?" She asks

"I don't know" I answered

When Mattia kissed my forehead that night I felt something that i really can't explain, and when he said 'can't kill someone you love'
It filled my stomach with butterflies, but Mattia is no good for me

My dad will be so upset, and just being around mattia makes me feel guilt for my dad

"Girl how do you not know!" She says "you guys are literally together 24/7, you have to have some type of feelings towards him"

"I just don't know—"

"Stop overthinking, if you like him you like him" she interrupts me

Alyssa knew me better than anyone does, I do a lot of overthinking, which is why I haven't decide if I like Mattia or not

"Your right" I sigh

"So you like him!?" She blurts as I hear a knock at the door

"I meant your right about the overthinking part" I said "Im going to let you go, I think Warren is knocking on my door" I say

"Ouuu who will she pick, the millionaire: Warren Jones, or the pretty boy: Mattia Polibio" Alyssa spoke

"Bye Alyssa" I chuckle

"see you at your dads" she said before i hanged up

it's my dads birthday today and he's having a small party at his house so me and alyssa are going over for a bit

I hear another knock which caused me to quickly get out of my chair "coming"

As I walk to the door I wondered what Warren needed, my lunch break wasn't over yet

I open the door to see Mattia standing in front of me

A soft "Oh" escaped my lips

"Good to see you too" he says inviting himself in

"I didn't mean it like that" Im quick to apologize "what are you doing here? You have another meeting?" I ask

"Came to see you" he said sitting down in my chair

"For what?" I ask as I close the door

"To talk" he answered

"About?" I walk up to him

"This" he pointed between me and him then my office "and whats up with all the questions" he joked

"Can we talk while I sit" I said pointing out that there wasn't no other chairs and he was sitting in mine

I've been walking all over this big building and my lunch is the only time I get to sit down

My legs are killing me and I want to take advantage of the time I get to relax in my comfortable chair

Mattia didn't answer me, he smirks while he pats his lap

"In your dreams" I roll my eyes

I got closer to him hoping he will get up from my chair and let me sit but instead his arms quickly snaked around my hips and pulled me in between his legs

I froze as he looked into my eyes

"You look pretty...like always" Mattia says softly

"thank you" I manage to say as my heart beat got faster

"Wanna sit?" He asks

"Yea" I nod

He moves my drink and sandwich I had in my desk then grabs my waist tightly but not enough to hurt me, he lifts me up and places me on top of my desk

He scoots the chair he's sitting on closer to me

"Warren can walk in—"

"Let him" Mattia interrupts me

"Does he knows your here?" I look down at him

"Nope" he answers looking at my lips

"What if he gets mad that I'm on the desk and that your here" I say

"then let's give him something to actually be mad at" he says

"He's my boss" I answer trying to let him now that gettin Warren mad is a bad idea

"and so am I" he licks his lips

There was totally so much tension in the room, way more than I can handle

"what if he fires me" I said

"Can I kiss you" he blurts out like he's been waiting to ask

I froze and my breathing got faster, where was this coming from?

"We don't have to if you don't want too" he answers from my silence "just say no and I won't kiss you right now"

I opened my mouth to answer him but no words came out so I nodded
