A War With Warspite Part 2 (Including Ayanami)

Chapter 3: You know the drill

Yo! Hi. Just so you know I'm trying to retrofit Warspite in Azur Lane. I also have Ayanami. The grind though. Also, the original to this story is no longer my most viewed story. That's weird. The most viewed one is where I just give you memes and talk about what happens to me. 

They needed to get back. The group needed to get back to the Eagle Union, to tell Warspite what they found. But, it wasn't easy. It seemed that the enemy nation had sent out ships to stop them getting back to the Eagle Union. 

They needed to battle their way through. Luckily, they were high levels. 

The first group they found was a group of three. Portland and Foxhound took the three of them out easily. Then, more and more ships started to appear in bigger numbers. 

They found a group near home. There were 6 of them. Naturally, one ship would take on two enemy ships and all the others would be 1v1s. Lights was that poor unfortunate soul that needed to fight two enemy ships. 

They both came at him at the same time. He ducked and activated his shell throwers. He soon was hit by one of the ship's sword. Lights had to duck and move around many times just to get in a single hit. 

Lights then saw a small group of ships in the distance. At first, he thought that they were back up for the enemy. He was half right. They were back up, but for them. 

It was Belfast and Montpelier. With the help of those two powerful ships, the enemy group was easily taken out. 

'Warspite sent us to see what was taking you guys so long.' Montpelier said after the battle. 

'Well, thanks. We needed it. There were groups of them all the way from their island.' Lights responded. Be then told them about everything that happened as they travelled back. 

When they got back to the Eagle Union, Lights explained what they found out. Warspite wasn't surprised. 

'We need to start up training again. It's gonna be a war zone.' She said. 

'I wouldn't say so. I would tell all the other ships about this, but I wouldn't start more and more training. This move was early. If we didn't do anything, then we would have lot's of time. The enemy won't make an attack. They wouldn't be ready.' Lights explained. 

Warspite thought for a moment and then nodded. The war technically hadn't started yet. But, Warspite knew that that would soon change. 

Laffey came to the conclusion that she didn't like Ayanami. She was never nice and forgiving. She didn't have the personality that Laffey would choose to be a friend with. Even Javelin started to notice. She obviously wasn't bothered though.

Unicorn was off doing training to get a higher level, so she wasn't able to ask her about Ayanami. The response that she would've gotten from her probably couldn't be called a response though. She was always afraid about hurting someone else's feelings, so she never made a strong opinion.    

After some time, Laffey decided that she needed to get away, so she told both Javelin and Ayanami that she was going to train. For retrofit purposes. When she was walking down to the training parts of the docks, she ran into Lights.

'Hey, Laffey, could you tell Ayanami that I want her down at the commission centre?' He asked. 

'Alright.' Laffey responded and turned around to tell Ayanami. 

When Laffey got to the clearing, both ships looked to her. 

'I thought you were going down to train.' Javelin said. 

'Well, I was, but then Lights asked me to tell Ayanami that he wants her down to the commission centre.' Laffey explained. 

'Alright.' Ayanami huffed and stood up and went off to the centre. Javelin stood up. 

'Well, I might as well train with you. There isn't much else to do.' She informed her. Laffey nodded and they headed off. 

Javelin knew that Laffey didn't really like Ayanami, but she didn't know why. 

'Well, I just don't think that she's nice or forgiving. I don't know, the vibe she gives off. I just don't like it.' She explained. Javelin nodded a few times.

'I guess you could say that, but I think you need to give people more chances. You just see what they're like the first time you meet them, and then that's you're opinion about their overall personality.' Javelin explained. 

Laffey knew that she wasn't wrong, but she always did that. Her first opinion was her strongest. But not her only. 

Warspite stood in front of every ship in the dock. It was dinner and she needed to talk about the threat of the new enemy nation. 

'As most of you know, there is an enemy nation out there. We didn't know anything about them before today, except where they were. But now we know more.' She started. All the ships attention's turned to her. 

'We sent out a group of our strongest ships to investigate. And they were attacked. This nation is now considered an enemy and we are currently working on ways to take care of them. Not everything needs to end in death.' She continued. As she looked around the large room, her eyes caught Lights'.

'The group was attacked with a sort of poison in the for of a goo. If they are using this as their main attacking system, then we need to take extra precautions. We haven't dealt with anything like this.'

Warspite continued to explain what they wanted to do. In the time of the months from the war to the current moment, they had been researching lot's of things. Most of the topics were to make better weapons, like the one that Warspite owns. 

There hadn't been many research breakthroughs, so Warspite continued to push the researchers to finding out things that could help them greatly. Even though the group had attacked the island, there was still much that wasn't known.

Where was their docks/camping ground of their main base? What research had they been doing? What sort of weapons do they have? There were many questions that would need answering. And Warspite knew that. She knew though, that it would have something to do with the newly constructed starter ship.
