A War With Warspite Part 2 (Including Ayanami)

Chapter 8: What to do

Ayanami could see the Eagle Union. She remembered her run into with what seemed to be the boss of the enemy nation. She thought about what he had said. It didn't make sense to her. They were near enough to be seen from the Eagle Union. All the ships that had gathered there all asked the same question:

'Where's Warspite?'

'She was taken. Captured.' Was all Portland said. Ayanami looked around to all the concerned, murmuring ships around them. She remembered something. The bursts of energy. She was told that's what Warspite's sword did before turning into an indestructible form. 

So, how did she loose with that? 

It didn't make sense to Ayanami. How could an already powerful ship like Warspite, loose with an extremely powerful sword? 

'Portland. Come with me.' Lights said, who was near the front of the crowd. She nodded and they took off to somewhere. Montpelier approached Ayanami. 

'What happened?' She asked. 

'What do you mean?' She responded.

'There's something else your not telling us. If Warspite was captured, then why couldn't you get her back?' Montpelier explained. Ayanami took a deep breath.

'Well, when she was captured, all three of us were extremely tired. There had to be at least 500 ships there. But, they took Warspite to a room. It was labelled 'The Hypnotiser.'' She explained. 

(I know the name of the room is very creative thank you).

Montpelier paused for a moment. 

'When are you gonna tell him?' She asked. 

'That's what Portland must be doing. Lights must have also seen there was something else, and went off to talk to her.' Ayanami explained. 

And indeed she did. Portland told Lights everything that happened. Later on, at dinner, Lights explained that to every ship.

'Warspite used to be with us. Now, she isn't. We need to train. We need to combine together, and be the Eagle Union!' He declared. All the ships cheered. The sound could be heard all the way at the other side of the island. 

As Lights went over their plan of attack, Ayanami's mind went back to what happened with Warspite. She couldn't figure it out. She knew she needed to tell someone though, so they could think about it together. But now wasn't the time for that. 

The next day...

Ayanami was up early. She needed to be. Every ship was going to train for as long as they could. They needed to use their time wisely. She decided to tell Lights about what she thought about Warspite's sword though. She found him in a tree.

She climbed up next to him. 

'Hey.' He said. 

'Something else happened yesterday.' She started. Lights looked over to her. 'Warspite made her sword take it's powerful form. I saw that before meeting the enemy leader. A few minutes later, Warspite was captured.' She explained. 

'And?' He asked. 

'Well, how could she be defeated if her sword was in it's powerful form?' Lights looked down in thought. 'She was up against about 100 enemies, but they weren't the strong kind.' 

'You mean, there are two kinds?' He asked. She nodded. 

'All the normal enemies we saw were like, the low form. The Normal rarity. But there were other normal ships that were more like us. They were like the Super Rare ones.' She explained. 

'Ok, back to Warspite's sword, was she injured or anything like that. Something that could put her at a disadvantage?' Lights asked. 

'No, I was with her the whole time. Portland did go off to fight one of the stronger enemies.' She explained. 

'That's interesting. I don't know how.' Lights stated. 'Well, thanks for telling me that. I'll have a think about it.' He stood up. 'But, I've gotta go to a battle training.' He nodded and jumped down from the tree. 

Ayanami sat there in the tree for a while. She decided to see what her level was, after defeating all of those enemies. She opened up her profile page. The level read: 98. A big improvement for sure. But, it could still be higher. 

She hopped from the tree and made her way over to the commission plate. 

Later in the day...

Ayanami was over by the cliffside. She finished her commission and her level raised to 99. She was just seeing if someone else would come over. Soon, Laffey did.

'Hey.' She said, obviously a little disappointed that neither Unicorn nor Javelin were there. 

'Hey.' Ayanami responded, not taking her eyes from the sky. 

'How was the battle? Well, apart from Warspite and stuff.' Laffey asked. Ayanami paused for a moment. 

'Well, I met the leader of the enemy nation. He was talking about fighting and why we use violence and stuff to solve all of our problems. Not that I believe him.' Ayanami explained. There was silence for a few moments.

'Would you rather have a world with no violence?' Laffey asked her. 

'Well, the obvious choice would be yes.' Ayanami told her. 

'Your honest opinion. Without being pressured into it.' Laffey said. She didn't know where she was taking this. 

'Well, I think that's a hard question to answer. There are people here that shouldn't die or I don't want to die, but the rush in battle is something you can't get from anything else.' Ayanami explained. 

'I agree, but I would say that I would want a world without violence.' Laffey said. Ayanami looked over to her.

'Why's that?' She asked. 

'Well, you can get a rush from other things, but you can only have one of everyone. Everyone that you kill or is killed impacts at least one person so much.' Laffey explained. Ayanami thought about her words. At that moment, she realised that she was grateful that Warspite was still alive. Because there can only be one saviour.  

A/N Hi guys! This chapter is a little smaller, but I don't really have much ideas except for a few lines (Cool quotes. I love them. I've already used one. Comment what you think it is.) and the final battle. But, apart from that, I'm just winging it. I'll try to keep it to about 1000 words for each chapter.
