A War With Warspite Part 2 (Including Ayanami)

Chapter 12: Researching

Ayanami made her way over to the storage room. She needed to check if there were enough items. 

She opened the door to the room. She searched through the many piles of items there and eventually came up with enough items. Time to retrofit. 

Ayanami left the room and made her way over to the retrofitting room. On the way, she ran into Montpelier. 

'Where are you going?' She asked. 

'Over to the retrofitting room.' Ayanami responded. Montpelier nodded. 

'Say, could I come with you? I need to tell you something.' Montpelier asked. 

'Sure.' Ayanami responded. They started for the retrofitting room. Soon, Montpelier started talking. 

'Some ships say that when they're out on commission, they see a ship. Warspite.' Montpelier started. Ayanami nodded. 'So, I went out there to see if it was true. And after a while, when I was in the ocean in between our nation and the enemies, I saw her.' She explained. Ayanami remained silent. 

'So, that means that they are most likely sending her out there to try and weaken us. They don't want to make the first move. But they're pressuring us to.' Montpelier continued to explain. Ayanami nodded again.

'That makes sense. We've been making the first move a whole lot. And It's put us in a position we wouldn't have liked to be in.' Ayanami said. Montpelier nodded. 

'I think we need to attack sooner.' She said. 

They were going to attack in six days time. If all went to plan, then most ships would be around level 115. If all didn't go to plan though...

'Here we are!' Montpelier announced. Ayanami looked up. She never noticed how tall the building was. It was around half the size of the enemies tower base. But that was very high. They went inside. 

Ayanami entered the machine and Montpelier placed the materials in. Soon, Ayanami was in her full retrofitted stat. All of her stats rose. She exited the machine. 

'Feel any different?' Montpelier asked. Ayanami shook her head.

'Just normal.' She responded. 

'Well, the main differences will be on the battle field.' Montpelier told her. Ayanami nodded. She knew they would. But how different? 

The two of them exited the room. Ayanami glanced at one of the clock towers. It was almost 9:00 pm. 

'We should be heading to bed.' Montpelier told her. Ayanami nodded.

The next day...

Ayanami was up early training. She needed to be a higher level. She just had to. She was around level 118 when Montpelier approached her. Ayanami looked to her. She smiled.

'Training hard I see?' She asked. Ayanami nodded. 

'I'm nearly there.' She responded. Montpelier was quiet for a moment.

'That's good. Denver called out to Lights for him to see something. She said it was important. So, naturally Lights wants you to be there.' Montpelier said. Ayanami nodded again. 

They both moved to the research centre. It was the biggest building in the whole dock. Denver and Lights were waiting outside. When Lights saw them, he walked over to them. 

'About time.' He said in a jokingly way. Ayanami smiled. They all entered he building. Denver went full scientist mode. She started explaining about things leading up to what she was saying was so important.

Soon, she finally got to it.

'So, we found out how to break hypnotism.' She said excitingly. Ayanami was now interested. 'We found out that it's through knocking the ship out. This means that Ayanami will need to try and kill Warspite. Then we bring her back here and revive her!' Denver explained. 

'Why do I need to battle her?' Ayanami asked. 'Why not Lights or someone else that's obviously stronger then me?' 

 'Well,' Denver started. 'Your stats are the best to take her out. Your speed will be higher then hers, if your level is at its highest.' 

'Well, if I'm going to fight her, then I can't do it alone.' Ayanami said.

'Well, who do you propose to help you?' Denver asked. Ayanami paused for a moment.

'I think that you Denver would be a big help.' Ayanami said. 'Your high attack and health would definitely be able to counter act my horrible health. We also need as much fire power as we can get.' Ayanami explained. 

Denver thought for a moment before nodding.

'I agree with you Ayanami.' She said. 

'I could help to.' Lights said. 

'We need you to help the other ships. Who knows what they have.' Ayanami said. 

'I think that's a good plan.' Montpelier said. Denver nodded.

'If we follow it then loosing would be difficult.' She said. They all nodded. 

Ayanami and Montpelier headed out. They walked in silence of a minute or two.

'How do you feel about going up against Warspite?' Montpelier asked her. 

'Scared, anxious, terrified, energetic, worried.' Ayanami listed.

'What do you mean by 'energetic'?' She asked.

'We Warspite is the strongest ship out there. What better ways to enhance my skills but battle against her?' Ayanami explained. Montpelier nodded.

'Well, your more optimistic about it than I thought you would be.' She said. Ayanami looked over to her.

'Did you not hear me say all of those other words?' She asked. They both laughed. 

'But, I've been thinking.' Montpelier soon said. 'Who's going to take on their leader?' She asked. Ayanami thought for a moment.

'I mean, you could try. Maybe you and Foxhound? Portland?' Ayanami said. Montpelier nodded. 

'I think I could take care of him myself.' She said confidently.

'Don't get too cocky!' Ayanami said. They both laughed again. But soon, doomsday approached. 

A/N Hi guys! Ok, about that part in the retrofitting room, Montpelier asking the same question as Foxhound did when Warspite was retrofitted, was just hinting that Montpelier and Ayanami are sort of like Warspite and Foxhound.
