"Tree! Watch the tree!" I yelled to Natasha as she almost drove into a tree. Clint was in the back of the jeep we were in, firing arrows while another jeep was shooting at us. The Avengers had managed to track down another HYDRA base in Sokovia.

Tony flew up to the side of us just as Natasha kicked a HYDRA agent when they got to close on their jetpack. Seeing all these flying people made me want a jetpack.

Behind us, Thor jumped onto the jeep behind us and took out the gunner before jumping to the guard tower and taking out the shooters.

As we made it past the tower, we joined Bruce, Thor, and Steve in a small clearing where they had just exploded a tank.

"Heads up." Natasha said as we started getting closer to a barb-wire barricade. I grabbed my pistols and readied myself to be thrown from the jeep, knowing Natasha had no plans to stop.

Once we were close enough to the barrier, Natasha quickly spun the steering wheel causing the jeep to turn to the side and we jumped out and over the barrier, weapons drawn. I took out a few soldiers, while everyone else took out theirs.

"Shit!" I heard Tony say through my earpiece.

"Language! Jarvis, what's the view from upstairs?" Steve asked.

"The central building is protected by some kind of energy shield. Strucker's technology is well beyond any other HYDRA base we've taken." Jarvis' robotic voice came through.

"Loki's scepter must be here." Thor said. "Strucker couldn't mount this defense without it. At long last."

I watched in awe as Natasha took down multiple soldiers at the same time before she landed on the ground in a crouched position.

"At long last is lasting a little long, boys." She commented.

I ducked behind a tree with Clint just as a large blue beam was shot at us, taking out a large portion of the tree we were hiding behind. Once we were in the clear, he took out his bow and shot at the tank that shot at us.

"Yeah. I think we lost the element of surprise." He said.

"No kidding." I responded to him, causing him to glare at me.

"Wait a second. No one else is gonna deal with the fact that Cap just said 'language'?" Tony asked.

"I know." Steve sighs. "Just slipped out."

"God dammit, Barton. Get out of the way." I whisper-yelled at Clint as he nearly ran me over when I took cover behind a tree. Ignoring me, he drew his bow back and released an arrow at a gun bunker. Shots could still be heard indicating he missed. He never misses.

"I didn't hear an explosion." I said to him, confusion displayed on my face.

He grabbed another arrow, concentration written on his face, and stepped out to shoot it when something blurry passed me and flew into Clint, sending him flying through the air. He landed roughly and let out a groan of pain.

I was about to run over to him when the blur came back and became clear. A man with platinum blonde hair walked by him.

"You didn't see that coming?" He asked with a heavy Sokovian accent and took off running, becoming a blur again.

I ran over to Clint just as he got back up and grabbed another arrow. He took aim, but the mystery man was nowhere in sight. When he realized the coast was clear, he slowly lowered his bow, but was unaware of the large gun aiming at him from the gun bunker we failed to take down. A blast went off and shot him, sending him sprawling to the ground.
