Once they arrived home Hyunjin had to take a phone call so Changbin tried to make a small conversation with the toddler to break the ice and to his surprise, the boy was really easy to communicate with; Minseok treated him as if he was his real uncle. Changbin liked kids but he didn't have much experience with them so as embarrassing as it sounded he was grateful that the boy was so friendly towards him.

"Uncle Binnie do you want to play with me and Kkami?" he asked the adult with sparkly eyes. The older agreed and they spent the next 10 minutes throwing the dog his squeaky toys until Hyunjin came downstairs. "Sorry for the wait," he apologized while tying up his long hair. Changbin stared at the younger like in a trance; the small gesture seemed to hypnotize him. He wasn't accustomed to Hyunjin's long blond hair yet. The younger caught him staring and winked at him. "So, what movie do you want to watch, baby?" he asked lifting Minseok from the floor. The boy giggled cutely in his arms. "Zootopia!" he exclaimed excitingly.

"Let's grab some snacks first," Hyunjin said as he entered the kitchen with the boy still in his arms and opened one of the cupboards. "Which ones do you want?" he asked, indicating the various packets and bags of snacks. Minseok thought for a brief moment and pointed at his favorite gummy bears. The blond handed him the packet of the sweets and put him down. "Don't feed them to Kkami, okay? I will prepare some fruit and beverages."

Changbin watched as the toddler passed him with the gummy bears pressed to his small chest and the furry ball following behind. He couldn't help but coo at the baby. He averted his gaze from the child to the blond in the kitchen. "Do you need help?" he asked as he approached the younger. Hyunjin glanced at the boy in the living room who was having fun hiding the sweets from the dog and back at Changbin. "Well, you could just wait with Minseok in the living room but if you want to help me you can take out strawberries from the fridge". The older nodded and started to search for the fruit. It wasn't hard to spot but it was on the highest shelf of the already tall fridge so he had to stand on his tippy toes to be able to reach for it. The boy's fingers barely touched the fruit container as he struggled to make himself taller.

Amused, Hyunjin chuckled and stood behind the boy leaning towards the shelf and invading his personal space in the process. Changbin's cheeks turned crimson red from the embarrassment. "Sorry, I'm too short," he mumbled sheepishly as the younger's fingers brushed over his while taking the container out. Hyunjin stepped aside and smiled at the blushing mess of his boyfriend. "That's okay. Here, clean them and put them in a bowl," he said while handing him the strawberries.

Once they brought the rest of the food to the living room and settled on the couch with Minseok sitting between the two adults Hyunjin put on the movie. Kkami hopped onto the toddler's lap and nuzzled up to him. A few minutes into the movie the boy turned to Changbin and grinned at him. "Uncle Binnie looks like Judy! You have chubby cheeks and you're very pretty. Just like a bunny!" he clapped happily and giggled before bringing his attention back to the animated animals. From the corner of his eyes, Changbin saw the blond suppressing a laugh and he blushed at the child's comment. It was really sweet of him but at the same time, he realized how both Hyunjin and his son had one thing in common: the ability to abash the raven-haired boy.

Hyunjin lept at the opportunity that the toddler was immersed in the bunny's adventures and sneaked his arm around Changbin's waist stroking it gently with his eyes still glued to the movie. The older flinched at the sudden touch but tried to stay quiet not to alarm the child. Content with the boy's reaction, Hyunjin smirked. Changbin bit his lower lip anxiously. There was not much he could do since Minseok was in between them so he decided to swat the younger's hand but to his despair, it slipped under the fabrics of his hoodie making him whimper at the ticklish contact. Kkami lifted his muzzle sleepily searching for the source of the sound but gave up and hopped down from Minseok's lap and nestled on the carpet.

"Daddy?" the toddler called out whipping his head in the adult's direction. Hyunjin retrieved his hand from the other boy's waist imperceptibly. "Up!" Minseok demanded making grabby hands. The blond let out small laughter before putting the boy in his lap and kissed his dark locks.

Changbin peeked at the adorable sight; his heart felt warm all of a sudden. If we hadn't broken up he wouldn't have a lovely child like Minseok - he thought. As much as he hated the fact that they had to part their ways in the past he could see how happy Hyunjin was thanks to the little boy. Suddenly his stomach dropped at the thought and doubt crept up his mind. Was he even needed in their life?

A gentle touch on his nape pulled him out of his anxious thoughts. He turned his head towards the younger and met his loving gaze. Changbin lifted the corners of his mouth reassuringly and let the blond caress his skin soothingly.
