Changbin let out a sigh of frustration and took off his headphones only to toss them somewhere on top of the lyrics sheets scattered on the studio desk. The memories from the lunch break with Hyunjin flooded his mind and he blushed furiously.

His eyes dilated in disbelief. Was Hyunjin asking him out? Warmth spread across his face when he realized that the younger boy was still holding gently his hands. He quickly retrieved them and put them on his lap in balled fists.

"I'll ask more directly. Changbin hyung, will you be my boyfriend?"

The older lifted his gaze from his lap and glanced nervously around. No one was paying attention to them but he was about to have a heart attack from the panic. A weird tingly sensation arose in his stomach. Now that had learned Hyunjin's situation he didn't have to feel guilty about his love for the boy anymore yet he wasn't sure about the idea.

Changbin looked into the younger's hopeful gaze and couldn't help but fall for him all over again; every moment they had spent together washing over him like a calm wave washing over warm sand. He took a deep breath and broke into a soft smile.

"Yes, I will but before that, we have to plan it out. I can't just appear in your son's life out of nowhere and announce that I'm his daddy's boyfriend. There's also your mom... I- I don't she'll be happy to hear about uh- us."

Hyunjin blinked a few times as if he was processing the older's words. The world around him stopped for a brisk breath and he finally realized that the man he had loved for so long, the man he missed for the past three years agreed to start all over again.

"Y-yes, of course. We will plan everything," he beamed still in a daze feeling his heart beating joyously.

"Does that make us boyfriends? Oh my go-"

"What makes you what?" an amused voice got the boy out of his train of thoughts. Chan put down an iced americano and plopped down on a chair next to Changbin. "Hyung," the younger whined embarrassed by getting caught mumbling such nonsense. "I've got you your favorite coffee, now spill," Chan teased the blushing mess of a boy Changbin had turned into. The younger pouted cutely looking away. "Come on, Bin."

"So, I met H-hyunjin earlier today and he explained everything to me, and uh- heaskedmetobehisboyfriend," the boy babbled turning redder and redder with every word. The older frowned. "And he what? Binnie, I don't speak gibberish."

Changbin took a deep breath and repeated slowly yet even in a smaller voice than before. "He asked me to be his boyfriend."

Chan choked on his hot chocolate earning a scolding look from the younger. "Oh, and what did you tell him?" he asked more of a mischievousness than a curiosity because he already knew the answer.

"I said yes," the boy's voice faltered and he turned his eyes in the opposite direction. "Hey hey, what's wrong? Do you regret it?" Chan asked suddenly alarmed by his friend's behavior.

"No, I don't regret agreeing. I love Hyunjin but I'm scared. His life is established; I'm afraid that I'll be an unnecessary piece in the whole picture."

Chan let out a sigh and hugged the boy. "Silly, what are you worrying about? Hyunjin loves you and you are the missing piece in his life rather than anything else. If you weren't, he would have given up on you a long time ago. Just trust him."

Changbin leaned his head on the older's shoulder and stayed a little longer in the boy's comforting embrace. "Thank you, hyung."
