11. Baseball bat

Y/N'S POV

I woke up early terrified of what happened last night. A shiver ran down my spine and I thought to report it but I didn't wanted to harm Jimin so I broke the thought and went downstairs to make breakfast.

I made a lunchbox for my brother. He's been working hard these days. I packed kimbap, kimchi, cream-filled buns and banana milk. I covered myself with a scarf to hide those bruises and drove to him. Some part of me wanted to tell him all but some part of me just wanted to make sure he's won't get hurt. Wiping the tears off I walked out to surprise him.

I knocked onto the door and a someone asked me to come in. Opening the door I saw many papers crumbled here and there on the floor while the hardcopies were scattered on the table. He sat there back facing me. I put the box on another table and went tip-toe towards him. I closed his eyes and asked who I was?

JIMIN'S POV

I recognised the voice and stood up to hug her."What's up Chubs!!", I said and she hugged back. I don't know why but her grip became strong and my shirt felt wet.. I became concerned and caressed her hair. "Are you crying? What happened?

"N-No... me and crying..huh!!! Don't you know even devil bows me.." She chuckled I could see the pain in her eyes. She smiled but I saw her swiftly wiping off her cheeks. I did not asked her but just caressed her hair. I said, "I know you're the queen of devils but you'll always be my angel. And if something bothers you just let me know okay?!"

"Hmm...look I brought lunch for you" She passed me the box. I was about to open it when Jungkook came in. "Jimin let's go eat...oh Y/N is here and is that a lunchbox? Did you made it Y/N?" He walked closer and stood between me and her.

When we opened it the smell just blew our mind. It was enough for having a waterfall of saliva.
After having lunch, Y/N left as she has to prepare for her exam but Jungkook turned to me ," Y/N really taste good...I mean her food and since I live alone can I join you everynight for dinner?"

AUTHOR'S POV

Jimin texted Y/N about Jungkook coming home for dinner.Jimin came and started to cook while Jungkook was studying some files in the living room. Y/N assisted in cooking just for today. She annoyed Jimin with her cute gestures while eating food but she wasn't aware of a pair of eyes watching her.

Every night Jungkook helped Jimin to clean dishes. He used to go home without any words like he was waiting for something...

Finally, Y/N gave her exam and was able to relax. Nothing weird happened to her since last week and she wished it to be like that.

She was on her way home like usual when she heard footsteps behind her. Firstly she thought it could be someone going their home but she was shocked at the fact that those footsteps have been following her since the last 15 minutes along her whole route. Instead of facing the person she decided to increase her speed. But when she started to walk fast the tapping of shoes increased like someone has started chasing after her.

Eventually she started running at top of her speed. Gradually the sound of tapping of footsteps decreased and ultimately stopped but she continued to run until she reached home.

She immediately locked the door and went straight to close other doors and windows. With shivering hands she held knees against her chest. She was sitting on the floor in the living room while cold sweat were clearly visible on her face dripping down on the carpet. For her defence she kept a baseball bat near her in case of emergency.

'Ding dong ding dong'. Doorbell rang constantly for three to four times. She grabbed the bat and steadily opened the door. Without checking who it was she closed her eyes and swings it towards him with all her might. But that person was quickly dragged away by someone else.

"Are you out of your mind chubs?!?!" Jimin scoffed. Her eyes meet the figure of Jimin and Jungkook who were staring at her with 'what's wrong with you' look.

She pushed them aside and took a glance at both the right and left direction in search of someone.

"What happened and why are you holding my baseball bat?", Jimin asked

"Nothing....when did you two arrived? I didn't see you guys"she replied

"We arrived just now...but noone has welcomed us like you just did..." Jimin said and went straight to kitchen. Jungkook sat down on the couch leaving you hanged at the door.

JIMIN'S POV

I was shocked to witness her that state. She almost knocked me off!! Thanks to Jungkook he owns weirdly amazing quick reflex which helped him to pull me.

I look at Y/N who apologies and goes straight to her room...maybe because of embarrassement I guess. But my attention was caught by Jungkook playing with his fingers. He was looking at his lap while smirking. I noticed he took few glances at her while rubbing his neck....maybe because of her stupidity!?!....

"By the way Jungkook, since you left early today have you bought the crabs I told you about?"

"Yep.. they're in the bag" he answered while scrolling his phone

Y/N'S POV

I throw the bat and sat on my bed. Running fingers in my hairs I was still figuring out everything. But suddenly I saw a letter placed on my bedside table. I don't remember having any letter placed there before.

It was a yellow coloured letter with vanilla fragrance which I unexpectedly found familiar but I still don't remember where I last smelled it. I slowly open it and it read.
