Willow walked down the stairs of the house she lived in along with her friend Selene. It was a grand but old house located on Mystic Falls' outskirts that hardly anyone knew about.
"Good morning, Sunshine." Selene greeted when Willow entered the kitchen. "You're chipper than usual, why?" She asked, heading to the fridge.
"I had a good night and I get a whole day to annoy Stefan." She smirked and handed Willow a thermos knowing she was looking for that, "You still don't want to come with?"
"To school? That's more your thing than mine." She replied as they went into the living room. "Then what are you going to do?" Selene asked. She didn't exactly like the idea of Willow being alone in a big house, bored out of her mind.
Willow put the TV on which showed a news channel talking about two missing people and she looked at Selene.
"I didn't do it." She raised her hands and saw the look on Willow's face, "You're going to look into that, aren't you?" She sighed and Willow shrugged. "Gives me something to do."

Selene leaned against the wall outside the secretary office in the school. She had gotten her paperwork done ahead of time but was waiting on Stefan to get his sorted out.
She noticed two young women stop to look Stefan's way and had to remind herself that one of them wasn't who she thought she was. She was amused when she listened in to what they were saying but other than that didn't pay them much mind.
"What are you smiling about?" Stefan asked when he finally walked out and saw her standing there, smiling. If he didn't know her as well as he did he'd almost think she was weird. "I just think it's funny you've already got admirers and you haven't done anything yet."
The two walked down the hall before being stopped by one of the young women Selene had previously seen when she came out of the men's bathroom. "Uh, pardon us...is this the men's room?" Stefan asked, seeing the sign.
"Yes. Uh, I was just...I was just...it's a long story." The woman said before going to leave but Stefan 'accidentally' kept getting in her way. Selene watched before rolling her eyes then pulled Stefan by the arm to give the woman room to leave.
When she did Selene whacked Stefan on the arm. "What was that for?" He asked, rubbing the place she hit. "For being an idiot, you'll be lucky to have a shot with her if you didn't freak her out." She replied before dragging him off down the hall.

After Selene went off to school, Willow quickly got in touch with people she knew that were in the area, hoping to shed some light on the missing people. Usually, something like that wouldn't interest her but she knew people don't just go missing when it comes to Mystic Falls.
The person she got in touch with hadn't been able to get his hands on much but she'd take what she could get and was going over the stuff as she sat on a swing outside her house when she felt something tugging her hair and saw a crow standing on the back of the swing.
Strange... She thought as she looked at it.
"This is the first time I've seen a crow this curious." She said and hoped wasn't back yet to see her talking to a bird. She didn't want to be teased. "You are a pretty thing though." She gently stroked its feathers before it flew off into the trees.
She frowned slightly when she got the feeling there was someone in the forest which confused her because if she was right no one was supposed to know she was there. Only Stefan and a few others did.
Deciding on it, she wandered towards the trees and the feeling of someone being there increased more and more until she thought someone was watching her.
