Chapter 10

Selene, Liam, Ambrose and Willow were drinking in the Grill, it was Willow's first outing since she got possessed by Emily. She had a constant headache and her body felt weak from huge amounts of her magical energy being absorbed into the spell but she was happy to not be bedridden anymore.

"So, will you ever ask Caroline on a date?" Selene asked Liam. Over the past couple of days he would spend some time with Caroline and Willow had caught him one time in town and told Selene who of course has been teasing him.

"I'm going to wait until I know her more..." Liam realised what he said with the three grinned at him, "I mean..."

"Liam's got a crush. Never thought I'd see it." Ambrose smirked and Liam shook his head, teasing from Selene he could take but not from Ambrose as well. "Well, what about Willow? You guys told me Damon stayed over the night she got possessed."

Before Willow let sleep take her, she had seen Damon starting to leave and her body moved before her head processed what she did...and asked if he'd stay with her and he did.

"The stuff with Willow is like little milestones that gets her closer to getting with the man." Selene said and Willow raised an eyebrow. "Who's to say anything will happen?" She asked.

"Once you relax more around him it could happen." Ambrose said. "You're probably scared Katerina could ruin it in some way but you just don't know it." Liam added and Willow looked away.

"Speaking of Damon...he's sent you a text." Selene said as she looked at Willow's phone when it went off and Willow took it from her. When did he get my number? She asked as she checked the message.

"What's it say?" Liam asked. "There was an attack last night. The Sheriff's asked him to look into it and wants to know if I want to tag along." She said as she looked at the screen before getting out of the booth.

"Look Liam, Willow's already doing a better job than you at getting a date." Selene grinned as Willow started walking out.

"It's not a date!" She called back and the sound of Selene's laughter followed her out.

Caroline was using the compass that Logan had used to track down Stefan and Willow and Damon later took. Damon tried using but it wouldn't work for him so he had Caroline use it and it brought her all the way to a warehouse.

"So what do I do now?" She asked as she was on the phone with Damon. "Just wait. I'll be there in a minute." He told her. "Can you hurry? I have things to do." She said. She wanted to see if Liam was free to go to the careers fair.

Damon appeared behind her and she turned and jumped at his sudden appearance. "You can give me that." He said and she held the compass out which he took. "So, why did you need me to do this?"

"Because I interfere with the signal."

"Can I go now? This has blown, like, half of my day."

"You do that. Get in your car. Go home. Forget I asked you to do this." He said as he compelled her and she left with a smile on her face.

Damon walked up the steps to a door and sent Willow a text so she knew where she was going before heading inside. He looked around the place for any sign of the vampire as he walked deeper and deeper into the warehouse. Suddenly, Logan appeared with a gun and he shot Damon multiple times and Damon collapsed with a painful groan.

"I have tons of these wooden bullets, so nothing funky." Logan warned as he circled around him. "You don't want to do this, trust me." Damon said.

Logan aimed and fired his gun at Damon's shoulder but before he could he was shot in the arm and they looked to see Willow with a gun aimed at Logan.
