Stefan was fast asleep in a chair in the living room of the Boarding House, not knowing Selene was standing before him, watching him. She was tempted to leave him as he was but then that would prolong the reason she was there.
She grabbed the book that was resting on his lap before placing it down and she shook him away. "Come on Stefan, wake up." She said and his eyes opened. "Selene? What are you doing here?"
"Well, it's someone's birthday and while I was thinking of making you a cake I just went with a present and I brought it." She told him, smiling and on cue their mutual friend Lexi appeared from where Selene had her hide.
"Lexi?!"
"Hi." She smiled.
"What are you doing here?" He asked.
"I'm Selene's present." She said as she brought him into a hug, when they pulled apart Stefan smiled at Selene and hugged her.

"Stop. I don't know, some freak show shot me with wooden bullets. I bail in under sixty. And why is a news reporter hunting vampires?" Lexi said as they were catching up in Stefan's room.
"I don't know who knows about us. That guy did. There could be others." Stefan said and Selene was happy to see him relaxed and happy. "From what me and the others found out, it's a few." She said.
"Do me a favour, while you're here, please be careful." Stefan said to Lexi. "Why stay? I'm headed to New York for the weekend. Bon Jovi in the Garden. 'Wanted Dead or Alive', it's our theme song. It'll be a blast."
"Do you think he would actually remember us? That was a pretty crazy weekend huh?"
"We can make him remember us. Come on! Let's go. I mean, what's keeping you here?"
"I told you, her name's Elena and there's also Selene and Willow here." He said. "Aww, sweet." Selene said as she smiled.
"Let's hope she's better than the last girl you got all sprung over." Lexi said as she held a picture of Katherine and Selene pulled a face which had her laughed. "You didn't even know Katherine." Stefan said as he took the picture.
"'Cause if I did I'd kick her ass." She said.
"Not if I got to her first." Selene said before looking at Stefan, "Where's Damon, it's too quiet." She asked. "Inflicting misery somewhere." He said and looked at Lexi, "You gonna be okay here alone? 'Cause I got some things I gotta take care of."
"It's not exactly like I can go anywhere. You guys are the only ones with these nifty little daylight rings." Lexi said and eyed Selene who raised her hands in surrender, "I have a mood ring from '75! Trade ya?"
"Doesn't work like that Lexi, sorry." Selene said.
"Yeah."
"Hey, Lex. I'm really glad that you came here." Stefan told her.
"You're lucky I was able to get in touch with Selene to have her get me." She said and Selene smiled. "So, what's the birthday boy gonna do today? It's not every day someone turns 162 years old." She said and he groaned.
"Now I know how Willow feels when you call her old."

Sheriff Forbes was dealing with paperwork when someone knocked on the door to her office before opening to reveal Willow.
"Miss Sawtell. What can I do for you?" She asked and Willow walked over and brought out a wooden box she handed over. The woman frowned but took the box and was quite surprised to see it filled with vervain.
