"I CAN'T INVITE you inside," Joy said in a very low tone.

Iginala niya ang mga mata na tila ba may kung sinong tinataguan.

"It's fine. I understand," Curse replied and kissed her forehead. He smiled sheepishly.

"Sa'n ka ngayon matutulog?" She forgot to ask where he's staying.

Curse said that he's been here for days so she's kinda worried. Hotels are located in town and it's a bit far from the island. Hindi niya naman magawang imbitahan itong matulog sa bahay na hindi kaniya. She wanted to ask Angel first who is the owner of the resthouse where she has been staying for a few days, now.  Ka-walang respeto naman kung magpapa-pasok siya sa bahay nitong hindi man lang nagpaalam.

"I brought a yacht," simpleng tugon ni Curse na ikinalaki ng mga mata niya.

"Yacht?" Hindi mapigilang mapa-bulalas ni Joy sa pagkagulat.

Curse chuckled and kissed her temple. He nodded and said, "Yeah. It has been docked for a long time. I haven't rode it for quiet a while now."

"So you own a yacht?" she curiously asked as if she still could not believe it.

Yacht can very expensive!

Her husband laughed again in amusement making her pout.

So he's making funny of me now.

Curse heaved a deep breath. "We own a yacht, honey. It's not, 'You own a yacht'."

Joy was puzzled for a while then realized that they're husband and wife. So basically, all of Curse's properties are also hers. That makes her one hella rich woman!

The thought almost made her jump in glee that she found herself a little bit weird. Certainly, she knew about Curse's background but Joy never felt so interested in anything he owns before.

Pregnancy mood swings are really something.

"Oh yeah, I remember you own a shipping line--"

"Honey, we own a shipping line," Curse interjected with a big smile plastered on his handsome face.

"Then, that makes me so rich," Joy mumbled subconsciously as if she was a kid who was gifted with her favorite bag of candies.

In front of her, Curse laughed out so loud. She was stunned and completely surprised to see him laughing so hard. Joy was puzzled.

What's so funny now?

"Bakit ka tumatawa?" inosenteng tanong niya habang naka-nguso.

"Because you're being so cute and funny."

Okay na sana 'yong cute pero may funny pa.

Mabilis na nalukot ang mukha ni Joy at binigyan ang asawa ng mahinang kurot sa tagiliran.

Curse who was stunned by Joy's pinch stopped from laughing and looked at his wife with gleaming eyes. Ah, my wife is really cute and charming.

"Is that it Curse, you're making fun of me?" Joy glared at her husband. She was so frustrated and suddenly felt like crying.

Kailan pa siya naging ganito ka-emosyonal?

"Honey--"

"No! Shut up! Binabawi ko na 'yong pakikipagbati ko sa 'yo. Galit na 'ko uli! Goodnight!"

She was so frustrated and just slammed the door in Curse's face. The latter was completely lost for words-- surprised and became frustrated about himself after a short while.
