Woah, I think as I sit back in my seat with a huff. Brian's on the phone by the door.

I didn't think Lunas had so much work to do. I knew they were busy and they were in charge of the domestic everyday activities of the pack but this was a lot more than I thought one person could handle. Truthfully, I feel overwhelmed just thinking about my new Luna duties. I am definitely no stranger to responsibilities and people depending on me. Case in point having to juggle my writing while still caring for my sick father but never have I had so many people rely on me for so many different things. How was I supposed to arrange 4 Matings, mine included in the next 4 months? That was the equivalent of 4 human weddings. At the same time, I had to review the accounts for the orphanage, hospital and schools. I was also in charge of deciding what types of food that the pack would have to buy from the neighbouring human settlements. And as icing on the cake, the Solstice Festival would need to be prepared for the end of the year and it was currently September.

"Yeah. Alright. I'll see you." Brian said as he ends his call.

"Leslie. Come on. We have to meet Sebastian in town. He's going to introduce you to the pack." Brian says as he types a text message on his phone.

"Brian. I don't know how I'm supposed to do all this." I think a bit of my frustration manages to leak into my voice because he looks up at me and his expression softens.

"Leslie. You'll get an assistant and like I said I'll help in any way I can. Sebastian too , I'm sure. He's just a bit busy with these rogue attacks at the moment."

I take a deep breath to calm myself. Brian's right. I've got a support system here. They'll help me any way I need. It would of course take a bit of getting used to with the workload but I'll have an assistant. There is no point in stressing about this. Plenty of Lunas do this every day. I would be fine.

I stand up from the leather chair with my head held high. I could and would do this. It would just take a bit of getting used to. Nothing I couldn't handle.

I find out that the house is near the town centre when Brian and I walk to meet Sebastian. My wolf and I are overjoyed at the prospect of seeing Sebastian after his long absence. We may seem a little over eager but we are after all newly mated werewolves. Usually, the newly mated spend as much time as possible in the first couple of weeks. In those weeks, more often than not, they spend it making love and getting to know each other. So far it didn't seem like Sebastian and I would be getting our honeymoon but I understand the reasons. Although the thought of not getting that alone time together does sadden me.

We arrive in front of a big 4 storey building situated right in the centre of town. When we arrive, there is already a crowd gathered in the front with Sebastian standing on the steps leading inside but facing the people gathered. He looks tired with deep bags under his eyes and his hair mussed. As I approach the steps, people turn to look and whisper but I pay them no attention. I've only got eyes for my mate.

"Mate.", my wolf sighs. "Mate tired, Leslie. Stop. Make better.", she pleads with a whine.

And I do want to make him feel better. I've only known him for such a short amount of time and already I know he's a workaholic. He can't continue on this way. Sebastian turns to look in our direction as we approach and instantly our eyes connect.

I love this man so much. I know it. And this may just be wistful thinking but I think he loves me too.

"Sebastian. We're here. Let's get on with it.", Brian says when we reach the makeshift stage, snapping me out of my thoughts.

Sebastian grabs me around the waist and lightly runs his temple against mine. To werewolves, this is essentially a sign of love. You mark the ones you love with your scent to tell the whole world that this person matters to you. That you care.
