I let out a sigh as I shut down my computer. My body slumps against the office chair as I reach down to pet Pie on the head.

"We're all done for the day boy. Let's go make some dinner." I tell Pie before heaving myself out of the massive chair.

The thought of spending some alone time with Sebastian fills my stomach with nervous butterflies. I want our first date to be perfect in every way. We'd only been mated for a couple weeks now and therefore I don't feel as if I know enough about my mate. I don't know what he likes to eat. What his hobbies are. Or even what his favourite colour might be.

I think these things over as I look through the pantry and decide on what to make for tonight. The food in the fridge and cupboards are getting sparser and sparser. Since arriving to live with Sebastian, I haven't had the time to go to town or even a grocery store. For the past few weeks, I have been surviving on food sent to us from the pack as a congratulations on our mating. Lasgana and casseroles have been my breakfast, lunch and dinner but I don't want to serve Sebastian left overs for our first date. I quickly scan through the contents of the fridge again before finally deciding on ordering in. I wanted to make something special but I have no culinary skills whatsoever and I'm tired from a day of staring at the computer screen.

A quick glance at the clock mounted on the wall tells me that it's 8 minutes to 6. I call up the local Italian restaurant and order our food as I arrange the plates and glasses on the dinning room table. After hanging up the phone, I hurriedly vacuum the floors and dust the furniture. 30 minutes later the food arrives and I put it away before rushing upstairs.

In the bathroom, I wash my hair and body with scented soaps as I shave my legs and underarms. If all goes well tonight, we'll probably end up in the bedroom again and the thought warms me in secret places. Jumping out of the shower, I apply scented lotion to my body after drying off. I don't bother with make-up or even blow drying my hair. This may be a date but I'm still at home with Sebastian. I put on a matching set of lacy black underwear before changing into a comfy t-shirt and cotton shorts.

Then I, with Pie trailing after me, head downstairs to wait for Sebastian, in front of the television. I curl up on the coach with Pie as I change the channel to the news. My eyelids start to droop before I fall sound asleep.

Pie sniffing at my face wakes me up. I groggily look at the time and find that it's now 9:43. Sebastian was supposed to be here close to 3 hours ago. I grab the phone on the coffee table and dial his phone number but it goes straight to voice mail.

Knowing Sebastian, he's probably immersed in work and he's forgotten the time. I grab a thick cardigan and put on my boots before walking out the house. I only know where he works from the business cards he has lying around the house. From what I can tell, he works in the centre of town in the building where he introduced me to his pack. At this time of night, there's not many people out and about but there are a few people strolling through the streets and they respectfully nod at me in greeting.

I walk into the building and through a door labelled Marksmen Construction. Inside is a large reception area with a large office directly behind it. From the looks of it, my mate's doing really well. The lights are off and no ones here but a slice of light can be seen coming through a slightly ajar door.

I peak through the space, intending to sneak up on my mate. But I stop cold in my tracks. My heart races and the blood in my veins turn to lead. I just stare at the sight before my eyes.

Sebastian is sat on a chair with a blind fold over his eyes.

Brianna is sat on his lap. She kisses up his neck before finally reaching his mouth.

And then she kisses him.

And I run.
