"Godamnit" Sebastian mutters at the spreadsheet before him. After staring at the computer for hours and hours, he's come to the conclusion that there's no way for them to stay under budget. This job was going to cost his company. And big.

"Fuck."Sebastian swears again as he leans back in his office chair and roughly runs his hands through his hair.

Besides this, he's got to worry about the rogue problem. Ever since they'd gotten back to his pack, the rogue attacks have increased in frequency. Before, it was maybe once every month if they were lucky but now it was at least once a week. Something was going on but for the life of him,Sebastian can't figure it out.

His 5 day chase of the rogues had yielded no new information. All he knew was that it was a band of maybe 4 rogues and they'd had pictures of Leslie. Lots of them. And that thought scared the fuck out of him. Why the hell would they want his mate? But that didn't really matter because there was no way those bastards were getting anywhere near her. Just the thought of those disgusting pieces of filth touching her sent Sebastian into a rage.

There's no way that's happening. No way that Sebastian would ever let what happened to his parents happen to Leslie. At the thought, memories of that faithful day bombards Sebastian's conciousness.

He was 15 at the time and in the den watching the game with his Dad. Their team was going down and not in a good way. Just then, Johnny Malone missed a pass and the opposing team managed to steal the ball.

"Get him off the field!" yelled Sebastian's Dad at the television set. He sat in his recliner right by the door as he usually did to watch the game with his son. It had become something of a tradition in their family. Every time a game was on, Sebastian would watch it with his old man together in the living room. With his father yelling at the players and Sebastian silently watching and interjecting comments once in a while. Game nights were their father son bonding times.

"Dinner!" Sebastian's Mom yelled from the kitchen.

Immediately, his father got up and left to go find his wife. It had always been like this. Even when they were at the last quarter of the game and about to score a touchdown, his father would come if his mother called. And it was likewise for his mother when it came to his Dad. For as long as Sebastian could remember, his parents had been in love. Madly so. With their secret glances and stolen kisses here and there, Sebastian grew up in a household overflowing with love.

Sebastian followed his father into the kitchen and there was his mother scooping out the food onto plates. Upon entry into the room, his father walked to his wife to wrap an arm around her waist from  behind and plant a kiss on the back of her head.

"Smells delicious hun." His father said as he nuzzled his wife's neck from behind. His Mom let out a giggle and patted his father's hand on her waist.

Sebastian made a noise of disgust at the back of his throat and moved to take a seat at the table.

"Scoff all you want Seb but one day you're going to find someone who makes you as happy as your mother makes me." His Father said as he took a seat at the head of the table.

"Whatever." A teenage Sebastian muttered as he began to eat. Halfway through the meal, his father's phone rang but that wasn't unusual. With his father being Alpha, he'd often get calls at all times of the day from various pack members asking about various things. It was part and parcel of the job and as far as he knew, his father had never complained about it. But what was unusual about this call was the fact that it was made at dinner time.
