It has been 14 years since Nick Russell, a wizard from another dimension was found by Kent Nelson outside of the Tower of Fate. Nick had been taken in by Kent and the Justice Society, who raised and trained him.
Nick was currently in his room getting ready to go to the Hall of Justice. Today was the day that he was going to meet the Justice League, as well as the other sidekicks.
After Nick was ready, Kent Nelson entered the room.
Kent spoke up. "Are you ready?" He asked knowing how excited Nick was.
Nick nodded. "Yeah, I am." He stated. He turned around. "Nepo a latrop ot eht llah fo ecitsuj." He recited. The spell created a blazing orange portal.
Nick looked at Kent and bowed. "After you." He said cheekily. Kent rolled his eyes, and entered the portal. Nick followed, with the portal closing behind him.

The first thing that Nick saw when he came out of the portal, was the statues of the seven Founders of the Justice League.
Nick looked at Kent. "I can't believe I am really here." He said excited. Kent smiled and led Nick through some double doors that said Authourized Personnel Only.
Once Nick had entered through the doors, he saw that he had entered a library. Nick saw the Justice Leaguers Batman, Flash, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow and Red Tornado. He also saw the sidekicks Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad and Speedy.
Speedy was shouting. "That's it? You promised us a real look inside, not a glorified backstage pass." He said angrily.
Aquaman spoke up. "It's a first step. You've been granted access few others get." He stated.
Kent cleared his throat. "Ahem." Everyone turned to the new visitors. "Is this a bad time?" He asked. The other sidekicks stared at Nick.
Nick nodded. "Nice to see you again Batman." He said.
Batman spoke up. "Kent, what are you doing here?" He asked.
Kent spoke up. "I am here so that my protege Red Wizard," he gestured to Nick. "can meet the League and the other proteges." He stated. Batman nodded, having met Nick a few years ago.
Speedy turned back the Leaguers. "Oh, really?" He asked, first gesturing to Kent and Nick, then to tourists above, who were taking photos. "Who cares which side of the glass we're on?" He finished.
Green Arrow stepped forward. "Roy, you just need to be patient." He stated.
Speedy spoke up. "What I need is respect." He countered, before turning to Robin, Kid Flash and Aqualad. "They're treating us like kids. Worse, like sidekicks. We deserve better than this." He stated.
Robin, Kid and Aqualad exchanged a look, which Speedy saw. "You're kidding, right? You're playing their game? Why? Today was supposed to be the day. Step one in becoming full-fledged members of the League." He said.
