"Sir, your father would like to see you in his office" the guard came to inform me as I walked up to his office. I was already annoyed because I had just came back from the training base to discuss new methods to use on missions and what not. I walked into his office and stood in front of his desk eager to just get this over with. "Yes father?" I questioned with a hint of annoyance in my tone.

"The business ball is tomorrow" he stated as he turned his chair to face me. "Okay and?" Where was he trying to go with this? "We're going to attempt to make an alliance with the Italian Mafia, your job tomorrow at the ball is to try to talk to De Vience's daughter Aurora."

I just stood there in shock. Was he actually being serious? I wanted to talk but no words came out. Their daughter Aurora was known to be the most ruthless female any mafia has ever seen but when you see her in person. God what am I thinking no one even sees her she rarely comes to these balls.

Maybe for the best.

"Are you sure you want to do this father?" I sounded hesitant in my asking. "Yes I am positive together we will be unstoppable. No more further questions, go to your room and make sure your suit is prepared for tomorrow." I nodded my head and turned around and slowly closed the office door and went to the roof of the mansion.

The roof had always been my spot in the house. No distractions, no one around, just me and myself and the nature of the world surrounding me. I took a deep breath mentally preparing myself for tomorrow. What if she kills me? What if after the alliance is made her side of the Mafia takes over ours. For fucks sake she's the damn mafia queen, the most strongest woman ever to be known. What if they decline this offe-

I stopped and mentally cursed myself from how weak my thoughts sounded. I'm Ace Grey the mafia king, no little girl will have anything on me. Especially her. For gods sake she's probably half my height and size or even less why am I worrying?

I started into the night sky and looked up at the stars, each one was so comforting had its own little twinkle. The moon was beautiful astonishes me knowing that there's someone else in the world looking at it too. I glanced over at my watch. "1:37 AM" Fuck I need to go to sleep I thought to myself as I climbed down the ladder and walked down the long empty hall down to my room. I unbuttoned my shirt and threw it in my closet and switched into some grey sweatpants before checking my matted black suit for tomorrow. I turned off the closet lights and climbed into bed and called it a night.

"End of discussion that is your mission tonight and you will fulfill it understand?" My father said sternly as he looked up at me after explaining the plan to discuss the alliance with Aurora tonight. "Understood" I stated calmly while looking down at my watch. "Good now go get dressed the limo is going to be here in 2 hours." He said as he sipped his vodka while I walked out of the office and into my room.

I was given a file so I can see how she looked like and god she was gorgeous. Silky brunette hair that was just passing her shoulders and half way down her back, mysterious green hazel eyes in one photo but in the other it appeared to be teal. Soft lips that I know I wouldn't be able to stay away from. She's shorter than I had expected but damn she's still a badass person to be known and feared by half of the men in the mafia. I glanced over at my phone "5pm" the limos going to be here in an hour.

I placed the file on my night stand and took off my watch and walked into the bathroom for a shower. I placed all my clothes off to the side on a rack and adjusted the water to warm up.

I adjusted my tie and checked my self in the mirror and made sure my gun was loaded before I placed it on the inside of my coat and made my way downstairs. My mother and father were posing as the guard was taking a photo of them. Married for 15 years and still never let a single bit of love go to waste. I smiled at them from the top of the stairwell and made my way down and followed them out of the mansion and into the limo.

The vehicle came to a stop as we made our way up the steps and into the venue and stated our mafia name The Greys. As we made our way into the venue we were shown where our table was and I glanced over and saw the table next to ours was the De Vience's table.

"Aurora" I whispered to myself as that was the first thing that came to mind when I heard the guy announce something.

"The Vience's" He spoke with pride as the venue came alive at the sound of applause and everyone arose from their seats. I stood up to find her and there she was beautiful as ever.

Her hair was lightly curled and she wore a stunning black gown that had a slit at the leg and an open back. She was scanning the room as if she was looking for someone and she stopped at the person who was already waiting for them at their table and then she looked at me and our eyes met. It felt like the world stopped when we made contact. Her glittering green eyes were to die for. She gave me a light smile and looked away and began to follow her father to their seats.
