"Um no, it's like half an hour." I check the time on my cell phone and sigh loudly as Taylor takes my keys and hands her own set to me.
"No offense Liss, but I don't think anyone could take you seriously in that car." She smiles genuiley at me.
"Thanks. That was a real compliment." I reply dryly.
Taylor smiles genuiely to soften the wound. "Are you nervous?" She changes the subject.
Good move.
I nod, unable to control my stomach from turning. "Do I look okay?" I wince.
She tilts her head, brown hair slightly falling over her face before she tucks it behind her hair. "You look fine."
"Just fine?"
She shrugs and continues on with her essay that she was suppose to finish last week.
"What if I can't even speak during the interview?"
"Its an internship. You have plenty of other companies to go to if the guy says no." Taylor rolls her eyes. "Besides you have a perfect background. I'm sure you'll be fine."
"You said that in the last two interviews."
Taylor shrugs, widening her green gaze at me as if she's got nothing. "Stop thinking about them."
"But I can't help it."
"Ugh, Liss, you are so frustrating. You'll be fine. I promise. You're acting like you're trying to get into university again. What's the worse that can happen? It's not like this guy is going to be all Christian Grey on your ass and pull you into submission."
I chuckle, face flushing.
"I wouldn't mind an Audi though." I smirk and she giggles.
"If he does happen to, I'd love a range rover." Taylor smiles as I gather my applications and essentials.
"Wish me luck." I say timidly before making my way out the door.
"You'll nail it Liss!" Taylor calls out when I walk straight into kevin, Taylors australian boyfrien with gorgeous gold locks.
"Oh shit Kev." I clutch my chest and sigh in relief.
"Sorry Liss, you going for your interview?" He raises an eyebrow.
I nod and bite my lip nervously. "Save me."
"You'll be good. Is Taylor up?"
I nod. "Yeah she's working on her essay."
"Sweet, good luck. I heard the guys a nutter." Kevin chuckles.
"I know, but the company is really good, so?" I roll my eyes. "Lucky me." I mumble before making my way out of the apartment.
I'm dreading going outside in this rain. I know that this make up that I've spent almost an hour on is just going to be a waste in the few seconds of me running in these heels to get to Taylors car.
But when I actually get inside the car and check my make up, luck seems to be on my side today. I hope it lasts through this interview because I'm in desperate need for this internship.
I can already sense the questions that are coming at me already when I approach the building.
Collecting all my stuff and shoving it in my back oh so gracefully, I get out of the car finally as the valet opens my door.
I hand him the keys skeptically before looking up at the ridiculously big building.
I've only ever seen the Malik building in pictures, but seeing it in person is definitely an experience.
