"Hi!" Taylor sings as I walk into the apartment.

"Hey Tay."

"So! How was your first day?!" Taylor comes walking in from the lounge and seats herself by the kitchen bench so she's facing me as I fix myself a drink from the refrigerator.

"It was good. Long but good." I nod tiredly.

"Right. So you liked it? Nothing weird happened?"

I shake my head. "Well Zayn wanted me to read those books. But I really can't be bothered."

"Why would he want you to read the books?" She frowns. "It's erotica."

I shrug. "I don't know, but I met this cute guy at work today." I smile.

"By cute you mean Zayn right?"

Sometimes I swear she's single with the way she talks about guys.

"No."

"I'm sorry, but how could you completely miss the hot boss and down grade to some other guy." Taylor scowls lightly and I roll my eyes.

"Okay, what did you do all day?" I question as I gaze down at my phone while smoothly changing the subject.

I haven't heard from my Mother since she returned back home. For her birthday present, I managed to get my step dad into helping me buy a ticket for her and him to go to Thailand.

I really want to talk to her to see how everything went and she hasn't called at all.

"Nothing to be honest. Kevin's gone to his cousins place for a couple of days. So it's just us for the next two days." Taylor wiggles her eyebrows.

"Honestly I'm not keen to go out." I groan.

"Oh come on. Please!" She begs.

I sigh. "I would but I have work early."

"Since when was eight thirty early for you?" She frowns.

"I'm not going out. I have to get some rest."

Taylor pokes the tongue. "Boo. You're stupid." She throws a screwed up paper towel at me and I throw it back at her.

"Stop. I have to get some rest. I'm tired."

"All that staring at the boss makes you tired doesn't it."

"Oh my god, Taylor." I groan. "Stop."

"Okay okay, I'm done." Taylor chuckles. "But can we go out for dinner?"

"You went out last night." I frown.

She shrugs.

"Taylor, I'm not cooking." I sigh.

"Fine just let me starve." She says dramatically.

I roll my eyes as I make my way into the room to strip off these tight office attire that I probably won't be in a hurry to wear again.

My feet have been aching all day because of these heels.

I might just stick to flats this time.

My eyes keep diverting to the books on the desk and I finally give in and grab one of them, only putting it down straight after.

"Another time." I murmur to myself, before walking into the bathroom.

I wash my face clean from the little make up I had put on and gaze at my afro dark hair.

My light brown eyes are rimmed with dirty black eyeliner that's managed to smudge it's way down my cheeks.

Sighing, I turn the shower on and clean myself before making my way back in the kitchen after dressing into something comfortable.
