"Just breathe. You already have the internship." Taylor calms me down as I look back up at the building.

"Come on get out." Taylor ushers.

"I don't want too." I murmur timidly.

Taylor sighs. "Come on Liss, you're already late. Don't keep the man waiting."

I shrug. "I think I'd rather let him wait."

"Get out!" She whines and I cave in.

"Fine! I'll text you when it's over." I murmur before nawing on my bottom lip and getting out of the car.

I take a deep breath and walk towards the rolling doors. Taking extra precaution on my feet, I make sure not too make an entrance this time and smile at the recptionist at the stone desk who's a fair distance away from me.

Just walk Liss, you're doing well so far.

Left, right, my heels click against the marbled white floor.

"Hello, can I help you?" The reciptionist, different than earlier greets me with a small smile.

"I'm here to see ah- Za- Mr Malik?" I frown.

"Can I have your name please?" She questions, jotting a few things on her keyboard before looking back up at me with an arched, well shaped, eyebrow.

"Alissa Lacy." I smile, but it doesn't touch my eyes as I see the snobby attitude itching to break free from her fake facade.

"You're late." She states. "Mr Malik will be very vexed when you see him."

"Vexed?" I frown. What kind of word is that?

"Oh yes. Miss Lacy, if you take the hallway to the left, you'll see three elevators. Please take the furtheest one down. He's on the top floor." She assures before giving me a card. "You will need this."

I take it from her and hesitantly make my way down the hallway.

Just like the entrance way, the white marble continues on and the grey concrete walls contrast well with the minimal decorations that are scattered in different places.

I look up at the last elevator and frown when I look down at my card. Swiping it in the slot, the Elevator doors open and I blink in confusion.

I step inside cautiously and press the top floor number; 46.

There's 46 floors in this building, and four basements? I frown.

It must be car parks.

Shrugging, I wait for a good minute until the doors finally ding open.

I'm immediately welcomed into a bright white office area. Just like downstairs, the floor is white marble that makes walking on heels, even easier.

I gaze around the area confused until I see a desk with a lady standing behind it staring at me.

Her gaze is challenging, but in all honesty, she seems harmless.

"Can I help you?"

"I'm here to see Mr Malik." I reply, approaching her slowly as she nods.

"Please, take a seat, I'll inform Mr Malik you have finally arrived." She says before walking into what I assume is Zayns office.

Sneaking another look around, I poke my head around the corner and notice the seats. I take a seat as I collect myself together.

Two men who looks to be in their late twenties walk out of the office the lady just walked into and they both look at me.

"Is she the knew one Malik was talking about?" One of them says as they pass by.
