At first, I thought this meeting would have helped me understand how I got picked for an internship that I some how got accepted to without getting interviewed, but instead, I leftt a dry threat to the CEO and told him to shove his interview up his ass.

But I'm now walking out of the building even more confused than how I did walking in.

What kind of meeting was that? I ask myself.

Maybe I'm just dreaming?

Maybe, I'm on something?

I don't know, but I sure as hell can't sleep on it.

Taking a deep breath, I open the car door and slip inside to see Taylor smiling excitedly at me. "Well?!"

I frown and look at her. "I start tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?!" Taylor gapes. "What, no weeks preparation or tour or anything?!" Taylor frowns.

I'm still in a trance of confusion that I can't even explain the odds of what had just happened in that meeting.

"No, I- I start tomorrow. Instead of being a intern, he's got me as the personal assistant intern?" I frown in confusion.

"Wait so you're a personal assistant?"

"Training to be." I frown. "The whole meeting was really strange."

And as much as I want to tell her everything that was said, I can't.

"Why?"

"It was just- weird." I frown.

"Okay, well are you excited to start tomorrow?" Taylor smiles at me and I shrug as she finally decides to turn the key in the ignition.

Can I trust you, Alissa?

"Yeah, a little." I shrug.

What do you mean, of course.

"Well, I managed to get the wine stain out of that skirt, so you could probably wear that tomorrow." Taylor smiles and I nod as more of Zayn and I's conversation consulves my head, managing to somehow drain out my best friends nagging voice.

All I remember is Zayns eyes focused on me.

"I need you to be honest with me." Zayn asks.

I nod and frown. "Why are you asking me this?"

He half smiles, seemingly satisfied with his raised eyebrow of judgement. "No reason to be concerned about just yet, Alissa."

Zayn, with his hands around his back, walks around his desk and pulls a sheet out of one of his files and places it in front of me.

"I need you to sign these for me. You may take it home to read over, or you can read here and sign now."

Sighing, I look down at the paper to realise it's just a sheet of what's to be expected at the company as a temporary intern. All the policies and what not.

I skim over it once or twice and look up at Zayn. His arms are folded, eyes dark and intimidating.

"Can I have a pen?" I raise an eyebrow. "Please?"

His face remains impassive as he reaches into the inside of his blazer, and pulls out a ballpoint pen to give to me.

"Sign away Miss Lacy." He smirks.

Grabbing the pen off him with my eyes never leaving us, I hesitate. I push passed it though and decide on signing.

"I'd like you to start tomorrow, if you're available? You'll be working with my Personal Assistant, Jane. The young lady who escorted you earlier to this room at the desk out there." Zayn explains.
