Double update because I didn't get to finish off the last chapter!!!!

The next morning I had got to work before the boss.

I didn't even bother saying good riddance to my mum but she sent me a text this morning telling me she's sorry.

Yeah, right.

I don't know how many times she's brought it up when she's had a few in her.

Taylor however understood why I left. It's not the first time something like that has happened.

I ran my errands like I usually did in the office this morning, but having Jane back as well has kind of set me back with my little routine I had going on last week.

But with Zayn back, I had meet one too many clients who had come in for meetings with Zayn.

I don't know how many coffee runs I had to do, but I've come to the conclusion that this job easier when Zayn isn't here.

"Alissa?" Jane walks around her desk and into my little area that involves a desk and chair.

My laptop is already set up but everything else is just so plain. I can't wait to set it up to be my own.

"Yes?"

"Can you go down to the copy room for me? I have a couple of contracts for Mr Maliks next meeting."

I nod as she smiles down at me.

Standing while taking a drink from my coffee, I make my way towards the photocopy room on the floor below me and wait for the elevator to arrive.

When it finally does, Three tall men are welcomed into the room as the door opens and I step back.

One of them looks down at me and smirks.

His skin is fairly tanned, with eyes as dark as night. With his ethnic features and deep voice, he sounds a little familiar when he speaks.

"You one of Maliks new props eh?" He scoffs, exposing false pale brown teeth as he smiles.

I blink up at him as the two others on either side of him narrow their eyes at me.

Intimidation chills me to the core as I allow them to pass.

I walk through and look out to see what happens before pressing the button.

Jane, who stands immediately from her seat scowls at the three men. "You're not supposed to be here!"

"Where is he sweet?" The man who spoke to me earlier speaks to Jane in a tone that makes me want to hide away.

I quickly press the button.

"He's busy. Now get out before I call security." Jane warns, eyes filled with fire.

"Don't threaten me."

"Get out." Jane challenges as the elevator doors start to close

My curiousness begins to burn inside me, so instead I make my way to the phone in the photocopy room and call for security.

I grab the copies that she had made and take them up with me to find that when I get back up to the top floor, Zayn is in the entrance way talking to Jane.

At my arrival, the elevators announce I'm here with an unnecessary ding and they both turn to face me.

Janes face is pale, but filled with vigilance. Zayns however is extremely annoyed.

"I'll talk to you in my office." he says to Jane before facing me. "Alissa, go take a break."

I frown and nod. "I just need to staple these."
