"Mrs Cooper!!" Aparosa yelled running into the house. "Ah. Stop yelling like that. What's with the fuss?" Her foster mother responded. Mr Cooper just stayed with his newspaper in hand, unfazed by the ecstatic teen talking to his wife. Rosa panted as she started he answer "Got...letter fr-from Uncle Joe." She took a big inhale, "I'm going to get my brothers" And with that she bolted up the stairs. She took a sharp right at the top and ran down the hall to her brothers room. She burst in without knocking. To no surprise, there was Isaac on his tablet. On the top bunk, Elman bounced a tennis ball against the ceiling. "BOYS" she yelled. She began to laugh as she got girly screams in response. Elman missing the ball so it hit his face. "WHAT?? Was that really necessary sissy?" Isaac asked. "Yes it was. Now get your butts down the stairs. I have something to tell you" she stated taking off again. Staying in the same position Elman asked Isaac "Should we go down?" Before Isaac could even respond they heard a "Yes!" From their sister. "Ugh how does she hear and know everything?" Isaac complained, turning off his tablet and heading out the door and down the stairs with his brother behind him.
Down stairs they saw their sister practically bouncing up and down with a smile. "Alright now that you idiots have graced with your presence; I can tell you what's going on." Aparosa paused for a second "WE GOT A LETTER FROM UNCLE JOE!!!" The boys only smiled and cheered some. They weren't as close to their uncle. The first time Elman met him was when they visited their sister a couple years prior. Isaac had only seen him twice before that. If their sister was this happy though he must be great. "Yay" "Whoo" they both cheered. Out of now where Aparosa jumped up and wrapped them in a huge bear hug spinning them around. Long hugs from her were rare, she was not a touchy person. Mrs Cooper, who had watched the whole interaction, spoke up and said, "Shouldn't you read the letter before you celebrate too much?!" Rolling her eyes. 'Kids she thought'. "Oh yeah right" Aparosa nodded and sat back down. She picked up the letter and began to carefully open it. "Oh my ghost" Elman sighed and ripped the paper from her hands before tearing it open and handing it back. "Well so much for savoring it" The older sister muttered causing both her brothers to laugh. She tried to keep the mood lightened but really she was freaking out inside. She hoped this letter was an Invitation to move back with him-With her brothers this time. She knew not to get her hopes up though. This could just be a check up letter. Pushing those thoughts aside, she began to read aloud seeing as she was still teaching Elman to read.
Dear my niece and nephews,
I'm sorry it took me so long to send a letter. In all truth, I was not aware you were placed back in foster care. The few times your mother answered, she said you were all with her and doing fine. I am so sorry for not digging deeper. Anyway, how you are you guys doing? How's your anxiety? No, this is not a check up letter as much as it may seen. I want to invite you and your brothers to move back here with me. I get it if you don't want to. Just know my home is always open.
Get back to me,
Love,
Uncle Joe.
Once she finished, Aparosa sat there in a state of shock. She was being invited back to her uncle's, with her brothers. 'But what if they are happy here? They must come first' She thought. She took a deep breath and long exhale. Inhaling again, she turned not her brothers. "What do you think boys?" She asked them. They both looked at each other and looked back at Aparosa. Isaac responded with "yeah sure. Why not he's family" the answer she got from Elman came in the form of a question. "He has outdoor space right?" Rosa started to laugh and answered "yes, man, he does" With that he enthusiastically nodded his head. "GREAT!!! Mrs Cooper? Is that an option?" She asked hopefully. Mrs Cooper looked to Mr Cooper, still unaware of the situation then back at the hopeful three. "I'll call the system" A chorus of cheers and 'yeahs' were returned. The three Winfield siblings began to jump up and down cheering. That night as Aparosa exited the boys' room from reading them a story goodnight, she stopped to smile. She was going back. Her brothers would love it there. 'I get to see Tori and Will again. I Get to-'. "Crap!!" She whisper.yelled as she scrambled to her desk. 'I forgot to wrote a letter back to uncle Joe' And even though it was late at night, she pulled out a paper and pencil and began to write.Dear Uncle Joe,
