CHAPTER TWENY-TWO

It's been six weeks since the incident and the doctor said that he's fully recovered and he's ready to start fighting.

I awoke feeling really good because today is a huge day for Vinnie, and I'm really looking forwards to it. I went through my morning routine and chose an outfit to wear today. I was in the kitchen when I felt someone wrap their arms around me and I knew who it was. "Hey my love, I'm sorry you didn't see me behind you when you woke up, I had to wake you up early," he said. "I know, I understand," I said turning around with his hand still on my waist and kissed him on the cheek before walking out the pantry.

He caught my waist once more and drew me into his chest, saying, "You going to be there, right?" He asked, brushing my hair out of my face, then slowly moving his hand to the back of my neck, kissing my lips. "God, I love your lips," he whispered, "did my lips distract you because you were going to ask me if I'm going to the fight?" I replied, and he chuckled, "oh yeah, are you?" When he asked, I nodded.

I'm now back in my room with Alissa, who returned to the hype house after six-weeks. She and Martin moved to Los Angeles to officially start her own fashion label. "How are you enjoying LA?" she asks. "It's amazing, I love it here, and I love it even more because you're here," she said as she hugged me, "aww love you bestie," I said, hugging her back. She then began to do my makeup for the big day today, saying, "Alissa, you know I don't wear that much makeup right?" I replied, "I know it's just today is a big day and I want you to look perfect." Oh, I'm not saying you don't always look beautiful; you don't really need any of this, your perfect" she clarifies. I burst out laughing, "you're just the sweetest Alissa," I said as she flipped her hair, "I know you can't live without me."

We were all finished getting ready and went downstairs to see what was going on. I scanned about and couldn't see Vinnie. "Where's Vinnie?" I wondered. Michael replied, "He's already gone to the fight." He has no idea I'm going to the fight. He thinks I'm out with Alissa today, so it's the ideal opportunity to surprise him.

We had all arrived at the location where the fight was taking place. Also present were some of our friends from the triller compound. We all went inside and made our way to the lobby, where everybody else was. Kio was seated next to Charli and Dixie, conversing with them. I haven't seen him since my last visit to the Sway house. Charli noticed me and waved at me with a huge grin on her face. He turned his head in the direction Charli was going and saw me, smiled, and motioned me to come sit with him.

Kio and I were friends from the first day he joined Sway eight months ago, and we hung out all the time. Then Vinnie appeared; Kio introduced me to Vinnie, with whom he was hanging out and making tiktoks. Then one day, Vinnie approached me and asked if I wanted to hang out with him. I said yes, and we went to a sushi restaurant, where we started chatting about each other and getting to know each other. But then I got into the hype house a month later and I felt I'd never see him again. Thomas announced a few months ago that we would be welcoming a new member, and I was eager to find out who it would be. I was overjoyed when he said that Vinnie is joining the Hype House. 

The fight was about to begin, so we went to our seats and waited for it to start. I was seated next to Alissa and Dixie. I saw Vinnie putting on his boxing gloves, looking up at the crowd, and he saw me, he smiled the cutest smile ever.

Vinnie and Deji both started the fight. They declared the winner after it was completed.

"And the triller war winner is....." The tension is consuming me. I took a deep breath, knowing that even if Deji wins, I'll always be happy for Vinnie and love him no matter what.

"VINCENT HACKER!"

I'm overjoyed that he won. The crowd erupted with applause and screams.

When I went outside, it was dark and the stars were sparkling brightly. Are you sitting mostly on lawn outside, and I heard footsteps approaching? "Why are you sitting out there, my love?" I knew exactly who the voice belonged to and to whom it belonged. I turned my head around and saw him. H e stretched his arm in front of me and I grabbed his arm and stood up.

"Waiting for you," I said, grinning, "and I thought you and Alissa were going to hang out today?" "No, I came to impress you," I replied. We returned to where everybody was. It's now one a.m., and I'm exhausted. Today was a lot of fun, and I can't believe Vinnie won.
